We have always been passionate about films that make you think. Films that leave you asking questions long after the screen has gone dark.
PORTAL is a full length psychological thriller, written by Steven Doxey, Brandon Sean Pearson & Michael Doxey, that follows an actor who is cast as the lead in a bold, art-house film from a well known director. The Director’s film recreates the story of his father, who was captured and locked in a Siberian prison. For the actor to accurately portray the director’s father, he chooses to go method. He isolates himself in a remote cabin, where he pores over script pages and keeps a diary of his thoughts. He lives in the skin of his character, he eats, sleeps, even begins to think like him. This pressure to play the role truthfully is increased ten-fold by the director’s militant perfectionism. Day by day, the actor begins to slowly transform into something out of his control. This metamorphosis has serious ramifications both on and off-set.

To make this film happen, we need a minimum of $28,000
Why $28,000 you ask? To make a full-length film, $28K is a tiny amount, even for independent film standards. But we are able to make this happen because the cast and crew have agreed to work for next to nothing, the locations and equipment are mostly free, and we are calling in all of the favors we have to get this film made.
We believe this is a realistic goal to meet, and also believe it's an amount where we can still make a high-quality film that has the potential for film-festival and theatrical release.
We have pitched $3 Million+ scripts and met with many film studios in the past, and have experience working with large and small budgets. Because we all work in the entertainment industry, we have experience with film finance and business plans, and can answer any questions you may have. Please contact us with any questions regarding budgets, scheduling, etc.
- Even with this small budget, we take this film extremely seriously, and plan on delivering a full feature film that meets the quality standards of a studio-backed film.

We are seeking a Stretch Goal of:
$60,000
More money, means more time to shoot, and more time to get things right. Every penny of extra money beyond our $28K goal that we receive will go in front of the camera, meaning that we will have more money for Camera Equipment, Lights, Set Design, Special Effects, Wardrobe and Makeup.

Of course, any amount that you will be willing to give us, even if it's just a dollar, is extremely welcomed. We want everyone who contributes to know how truly grateful we are. Your help ensures that independent filmmakers like ourselves can continue to share their stories with the world.
Remember DVD's? Remember all of the cool behind the scenes features they offered? Since those aren't so common anymore, our "Official Supporter" perk will give you access to a website that gives you just that-- a behind the scenes look into how we are making this film. We will consistently post updates to the page, that will include photos, and videos with the cast and crew. We want the website experience to feel like you are on-set with us!
Is there something you want for your contribution that isn't listed in our perks? Let us know! If we can make it happen, we will!
