THE HORROR
POWERLESS is a dark tale about a married couple facing past family trauma on the night of an alien invasion. The couple, John and Diana, are home dealing with an earth shattering family crisis caused by recent tragedy when a monstrous guest pays them a visit at their front door. Does the unexpected guest bring more challenges for them to face? Will they survive the pressures of the night? Or, will they find themselves powerless to a menacing force?
Our Goal
Simply put, this horror/thriller short is intended to scare the socks off of you! Craig and Yadetress, the writers, are both lovers of horror films whom decided to take you on a creative journey of thrilling and relatable experiences that go beyond this world as we know it.
What We Need
We've already shared the vision for our film with our families, friends and colleagues which resulted in us gaining their support. That's just one piece of the puzzle; you are the missing piece! In order for our film to succeed, we need to raise $8,000 to cover costs associated with making a professional cinematic short film. Funds raised will be used to cover expenses related to:

The Cast and Crew: We have assembled an amazing team of experienced artists whom are passionate about their craft. Anyone who is willing to dedicate their time and skills to support another persons vision should be compensated and we wish to do just that!

Production Design: As film lover's, we know the importance of a properly dressed set and the value it holds to the eye. Therefore, we need to dress to kill!

Location: Location, location, location! A very essential element in making an appealing film and let's face it renting locations are expensive. We need to secure visually aesthetic locations while looking for the best rates throughout the city of Atlanta.

Equipment: We will be using the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF along with Atlas Anamorphic lenses.

Sound and Lighting: Our film is set at night therefore we must ensure to light properly and create the appropriate atmospheric sound scape.

VFX and SPX Makeup: We have over thirty (30) shots that will display our use of practical effects, visual effects and the use of special effects makeup. These enhancements will make this film more powerful in this POWERLESS world!

Food: We need to provide healthy meals to the cast and crew. We don't want to have anyone hangry on set.

Miscellaneous Production Costs: The world of film is a wild and marvelous place. One thing for certain, nothing is for certain and the unexpected will come up during production. We want to be ready to meet any challenges at the front door!
