Summary
Seven Starving Artists is a new, emerging Canadian theatre company in Calgary, Alberta with a passion for telling new stories that give the underrepresented a voice. Producing All That's Left will not only contribute to Canada's theatre culture, but will also allow our company to begin to make a name for itself. This play will not be possible without your help to raise these funds, and we appreciate any and all donations you can make!

The Impact
Art is the lens through which we understand and view our experiences; we believe in the importance of queer theatre and of seeing yourself represented on stage. All That's Left is about processing and healing from the communal trauma and violence that the LGBTQ+ community faces as part of our daily reality. We hope that this production will help to build connections among the community and its allies in Calgary.
All That's Left has had two successful workshops so far, the first through the University of Lethbridge's TheatreXtra, and the second through Sage Theatre's IGNITE! Festival for Emerging Artists
Risks & Challenges
Starting a new theatre company and producing a new and unknown play will always be risky- we know that there is always the chance that we won't be able to find an audience for our work. We are prepared to market actively and invest our own money into this project as necessary.
Queer theatre can also be challenging, particularly in Southern Alberta; that's why we plan to reach out to local LGBTQ+ programs and organizations for their connections and support.
