Overview
After accident left me requiring amputation. I soon discovered that when i received the prosthetic limb i needed to get me back living independently, that it was a very unattractive piece of equipment. I did eventually find a prosthetic cover for my limb and would like to offer others, both adults and children an attractive alternative so that people can design their own covers without having to go through the hassle i ended up having to go through.

Prosthetic Skinz

Using 3D printing technology i would like funding to help purchase a printer so that i can begin supplying cosmetic covers to people that have had amputations and sometimes feel that showing the prosthetic limb by wearing shorts, skirts or t shirts can make them feel even more uncomfortable. In more cases children will benefit from this.

What i need

100% of the funds will go towards buying the 3d printer and materials needed to start printing covers.

The Impact

From my own personal experience i know how much of a difference mentally it helped me by being able to wear shorts in the summer and not be ashamed to show off my prosthesis once i had a cover on it.

Anybody who finds themselves feeling at a low point after an amputation would soon feel a little happier knowing that they can at least design a part of their prostheses. And, would not feel like they have to just take what they are given.
