Give a Child the Chance to Be Fed, to Grow and to Flourish
Many of the children attending Ramón Rosa Elementary School in Honduras are living in poverty and struggle during school because they cannot afford to eat breakfast or lunch. As a result, we are raising funds to feed the 64 current students of the school healthy meals throughout the summer.
We will be sending 5 interns to the rural community of El Rodeito, Honduras, where the school is located, for 10 weeks this summer. They will be focussing on promoting educational and community development to improve conditions and opportunities.
We Need Your Help!
Our current campaign is part of our ongoing effort to improve conditions in El Rodeito. We are currently working towards building a functional school kitchen for Ramón Rosa, which will allow the school to become self-sustainable in the future and will provide additional incentive for parents to send their children to school.
However, this project requires a lot of support. With your help, we can end hunger for the children at Ramon Rosa Elementary and supply them with the option of a better future.
To complete the project and implement the meal plan, a total of $7,500 needs to be raised, but the initial $800 that we are collecting will enable us to begin offering meals to ALL the children in El Rodeito this summer! After the kitchen is built we will only need $0.25 per child/day to provide them with breakfast and lunch while they are at school.
