Short Summary

Hi internet person. My name is Josh Denny, and I'm a Stand-Up Comedian living in Los Angeles, CA. We're raising money for my newest one-hour special called "Provoked," which we hope to have out some time this year! The special will feature an hour of new comedy by me, and will be directed by filmmaker Chris Raab a.k.a. Raab Himself from Jackass, CKY, and Viva La Bam.

What We Need & What You Get

Here's where we need your help:

• We're currently raising $5000 to get us started on the project. If we raise more, that's great and you're awesome. The money goes towards our production of the show that evening, including our equipment and labor costs for the filming, as well as post-production.
• We've included some cool perks for your help & donations.
• If we don't reach our goal, we'll just spend your money on sandwiches and prostitutes. Just kidding, we'll still make the special. It just won't be as awesome as we want it to be.

The Impact

We can't do it without you. Seriously. If we could, we wouldn't be here. We'd just be making specials.

• If you like comedy and comedians that push boundaries and try to find humor in all of the things that surround us in every day life, then you want to be a part of this project. Provoked is a special about the how our brains work, and the way we tend to be as people, and why we're ridiculous. It will also be a unique special in that it will show you a side of comedy with footage that you haven't seen yet. 
• Raab makes incredible projects, and has filmed many of your favorite shows. He recently made a super cool short film called "Borrowed Happiness." Go check it out!
• We want to make a special that is original, unique, intimate, and all of the things you'd experience at a live show, and we can't do that without you.

Risks & Challenges

Filming a special is a HUGE undertaking. We've got several cameras to rent, a crew to pay, lighting, set design, editing, etc.

• We're extremely resourceful filmmakers, and know how to stretch your dollar to give you the best possible finished product on a budget.
• We're calling in favors, and working with only our closest filmmaking friends to do this on the cheap, and still make it look like a great special that you would see from a large studio or production company.
