Psycho Ape! was a film we made in 2020 as an homage to low budget horror comedy splatter movies in the vein of Ed Wood and Troma Entertainment. It has played theatrically many times, even as a double bill with movies in the Severin Films catalog.

Bill Weeden and Kansas Bowling WILL be returning and reprising their roles of Dr. ZOOmis and Nancy Banana in Psycho Ape! Part II!

Psycho Ape! Part II will be shot in California instead of Michigan and New York this time around, and will require a budget that will cover the costs of flying the filmmakers and actors to Los Angeles to shoot this sequel.

The first film consisted of monkey movie parodies, send-ups of slasher tropes, and Mel Brooks-style gags mixed with low budget Troma-inspired gore.

Psycho Ape! Part II will include a plethora of references to famous Part 2's like The Dark Knight, The Empire Strikes Back, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Psycho II.
They will all culminate into a big Hollywood parody extravaganza ending, similar to how the ending of the first Psycho Ape! film ended with a big parody of King Kong.

Plot of Psycho Ape! Part II- After being apprehended by police during a big banana heist (and, you know, all the murders from the first film), the Psycho Ape! is put on trial for his crimes and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
(The movie will go from being a big Dark Knight crime thriller in the opening scene, to a Few Good Men courtroom drama/true crime serial killer Netflix special.)
The Psycho Ape! is deemed mentally sound and released from a mental institution, and ends up reuniting with Nancy Banana and Dr. ZOOmis. (Psycho II!)
When more banana murders begin popping up, Nancy and ZOOmis take the Psycho Ape on the lam from police because they believe he is innocent.
They drive through the Nevada desert on their way to Hollywood so ZOOmis can live out his dreams of being an animal documentary filmmaker, enlisting the talents of Nancy Banana and the Psycho Ape! in his work.
(Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Thelma and Louise road trip antics will be parodied during this section. Yes, it's a Psycho Ape! road movie!)
They arrive in Hollywood to make their Psycho Ape! movie and are confronted by the copycat Psycho Ape! killer who has been committing brutal banana murders in an attempt to sully our hero's (?) good name.

(Also, yeah, Bill *is* going to be taken away in carbonite at the end of the movie because we're doing a cliffhanger Empire Strikes Back ending. That's basically one of the reasons we want to make this movie, haha.)

While the first film was shot on MiniDV tape, Psycho Ape! Part II will be shot digitally. The cheap blood, gore, and bananas will really pop in 4K this time around!

The goal for this campaign is to raise money for the actors, food, hotel, flights, fake blood, fake limbs, and of course, bananas!
And to make a big Hollywood sequel parody movie actually shot in Hollywood (guerilla-style)!
