Today we have a working prototype, but in order to bring QLIPP to the world, we need your help. We’re raising funds to build the mold, purchase materials and gain FCC and CE Bluetooth certification. Each of these steps will be critical to our ability to manufacture QLIPP and give people everywhere an easy way to improve their game.

The QLIPP sensor is currently in the DVT (Design Verification Testing) Stage. This will ensure the manufacturing quality of your QLIPP sensor. After this stage we will be sending your QLIPP sensor for electronic certification (FCC and CE). What this means is we will be obtaining a license for this electronic product to be used in your geographical region. Once this certification is approved, your QLIPP sensor will be shipped immediately. In the meantime, you will also be provided with timely updates and will be kept posted of our progress. The video below is a short clip of our manufacturing process and electronic testing of our beta trial units.

With your help, we can get QLIPP into the market. Also, once we’re funded, we have plans to expand into other sports like racquetball, running, baseball and many others. Just imagine the potential.

We started with a vision to make QLIPP something that could help all tennis players play better. After 2 years of testing and R&D, we’re sure that QLIPP can fulfill our goal and we’re excited that your help can bring us one step closer. The QLIPP team is part of 9 Degrees Freedom, a company founded in February 2012 by Donny Soh and Cen Lee, a pair of entrepreneurs with a passion in innovative lifestyle sports technologies. 9 Degrees Freedom is incubated by NTUitive, a startup accelerator from NTU.

What you see today is the result of more than two years of Research and Development. A lot of effort, resources and promises have been poured into this and we are truly happy and excited to be able to have the opportunity to present to you and the tennis community, the QLIPP sensor.

You can be well assured that we are fully committed to delivering your QLIPP sensor. Since 2013, we have started prototyping with our manufacturer just to ensure that you will be able to receive a product of utmost quality. We take a lot of pride in our work and your satisfaction will be our utmost reward.

Q: Do I have to inform the app of the types of strokes that I will be doing?

A: No. After you have selected whether you are a right or left hander, our sensor is able to differentiate your serves, forehands and backhands automatically by measuring the corresponding vibrations of each type of stroke.

Q: How long has the QLIPP sensor been in development?

A: 9 Degrees Freedom was established in 2012 and the QLIPP sensor has been in constant development for the past 2.5 years.

Q: Has the QLIPP sensor been tested with actual tennis players?

A: Yes, we have tested our sensor with ex-pro tennis players, tennis coaches and also club players for the past few years.
