What you get is changing the end of Sam's life from guy who died before his last album was finished to guy who's last album was finished and released and promoted and nominated for the Polaris prize or a Juno award. And even if there are no mainstream awards this is still a work of heart, a more worthy ending for someone who, since the 1970s, lifted up 10,000 other songwriters buoying their understanding about the meaning, pleasure and wisdom that comes to those compelled to be songwriters.

Why Do This

Assuming you know about Sam Larkin, this money would help finish his last record, manufacture it and promote it. We started this album hoping it would be done while he was alive but leukemia and cirrhosis took a toll too quickly.
