"I've got good news." - Man From Another Place
Hey everyone, my name is Cameron and for the past five years, I have run a very popular "Twin Peaks" video podcast on the Obnoxious and Anonymous Youtube channel.
As some of you may or may not know, I’ve been flirting recently with the idea of finally making my “Twin Peaks” fan film.
Over the last several months I’ve seen a number of other “Twin Peaks” related fan films and I honestly really like what I’ve seen. However in viewing these materials, it brought back a hunger that I’ve been quietly wanting to satisfy for 25 years now—and no, a Snickers bar is not going to work this time.
"The stars turn and a time presents itself." - The Log Lady
You see, back in the fall of 1992, when I was just 16 years old, I came up with several ideas for the “Twin Peaks” universe that over time I would converge and mold into one enthralling, pretty epic storyline— should I ever get the amazing opportunity to make a “Twin Peaks” related movie.
Now with the internet, equipment being more affordable and the rise of fan films, I feel now is the time to not only (once and for all) make my “Twin Peaks” film but to be able to do it properly.
Now those of you who have been watching me talk about “Twin Peaks” for the past five years online can definitely attest that whether or not you agree with me on certain points, my love for this world and its storytelling is as big as it can possibly be. I’ve been a enthusiast of "Twin Peaks" since it began in 1990 and was a David Lynch fan long before the pilot even debuted.
"I have no idea where this will lead us. But I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange." - Agent Cooper
As some of you (again) may or may not know, my fan film revolves around the character of Annie Blackburn. Other notables that appear are Windom and Caroline Earle, as well as Dale Cooper.
While my story will most likely never be considered canon by David Lynch and Mark Frost, it can easily be placed within the guidelines they set up in all three seasons, as well as "The Final Dossier"--and to me, a "Twin Peaks" continuity fanatic, that's pretty cool.

Questions in a World of Blue
What does the timeline for the entire production look like?
My hope is to raise the money during this campaign (late November-early January) and then immediately head into pre-production. From January-May, I will be casting, booking locations, finalizing the crew before shooting the film in early summer. I am expecting to have the film finished in late 2018.
How and when will this film be made available?
Since I do not own the copyright, it would be illegal to mass produce, sell this fan film or take it to festivals.
However, I will be able to share it online with all of you, free of charge.
Tell me more about this Indiegogo campaign. Are you making any money doing this film?
No. Every penny that is raised is going into the production (which includes: camera, lights, media storage, wardrobe, props, sets, makeup, sound recording, transportation, meals, incidentals, SAG Fees, locations, permits, insurance, editing and more).
So donate, donate, donate to this project. The larger the budget, the higher the production quality will be.
Also, please keep in mind that Indiegogo does take a percentage of each donation, as well as charge standard credit card fees--so let's get that total number soaring over the asking price.
What does it mean when a campaign is "All or Nothing" or Fixed Funding?
If this campaign does not reach its monetary goal, you will be fully refunded (without your perks) and my film will not be made.
"Twin Peaks" is so weird. Is this film you're making going to be weird too?
The film I'm making will stay true to the characters, but it will not go out of it's way to just be strange, weird or surreal. Sure, there will be moments, but the last thing I want is for people to think I'm merely copying David Lynch.
It will be its own thing, but completely respectful to everything that's come before.
I have always pictured the climatic battle between The White Lodge and The Black Lodge as a grand "Lord of the Rings" type battle. Will something like this be included in the film?
On this budget? No, sorry.
Also, "Twin Peaks" is about a lot of things, but Harry S. Truman riding down a mountain on a white horse, as an army follows behind him is not... wait... that does sound pretty sweet though... nope, not in this film.
Sorry. :(
Are you going to try to wrap up the series or leave it open ended as it is now?
I don't think "Twin Peaks" is something that will ever truly end--at least, not in my mind.
However, yes, the film does have an ending--but it does not attempt to conclude the series as a whole, nor will it try to purposely leave audiences frustrated.
Why is making a "Twin Peaks" fan film currently more important to you than making an original film that you can profit from?
"Twin Peaks" was an important show for me when I was a young teenager. It showed me a world that was rarely spoken about and where intuition was just as important as knowing facts.
Like "Blue Velvet" before it, "Twin Peaks", followed by "Wild at Heart", just blew my mind when I was fourteen years old in 1990.
Even though I'm older now, and have read and seen other great works of literature/film, the world of "Twin Peaks" will always be remembered as my first great love and I can think of nothing more rewarding than giving back to it.
Now... Let’s rock.
