The film will showcase the most progressive street skating from the top female skateboarders in the world and introduce up and coming skaters that are paving the way for the future generation of skateboarding.

Erik and Monique are committed to the progression, equality and exposure of female skateboarding and have put in their blood, sweat, and tears to make this film a reality. Currently the landscape of the skateboarding industry is bleak for women. With very few companies committing real financial support to female skateboarders, it's nearly impossible to find funding for a project like this. The result is that their hasn't been a full length female skate film in the US in over 10 years. Erik and Monique decided to take matters into their own hands. For the past 2 years, they've dedicated every free moment they've had to filming. They've been working side jobs to save money for travel costs and film equipment often times sacrificing their own livelihood for this project. With the help of the women's skateboarding community, Monique and Erik are very close to finishing this film. 

We are so close to finishing the film! But we have some huge costs left to get the film ready for digital download and DVD production. We need to pay for post production costs including music rights, sound mixing and color correction. One song alone can cost anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Our target goal is to fundraise $10,000 to cover these costs. 

We've put together some awesome perks for you -- stuff that you can't get anywhere else! Every contribution will help us finish the film and make it available to the world and inspire the next generation of female skaters. We believe a film like this is much needed in today's world. Girls are inspired to try skateboarding and stay with it when they can see other females pushing the bar. Instagram and Youtube is great, but a full length film that you can watch over and over again is timeless and will be hugely influential.  

CHALLENGES

• Our biggest challenge is to raise enough money to get this film ready for digital download and DVD printing. Music is an integral piece of the film and licensing awesome music is very important to us and the skaters. If we don't reach our target goal, we will defer to music libraries that are more cost effective but we all know that a song can make or break a part so we need your help to reach our goal!
