We are focused on inspiring people to pursue adventures while also preparing for emergencies. Like you, we've personally experienced unexpected emergencies and disasters and lost friends to flash floods and other natural disasters. We're on a mission to help the alarming number of people not prepared for unexpected emergencies and adventures, live prepared!

How will Indiegogo funds bring R72 to life?

We've invested our own time and money in the research and development of multiple prototypes and in searching for the right manufacturing partners. Thanks to you, we're proceeding with production and on-time delivery.

Who are the creators of this project?

We are a small group of friends who specialize in different fields - disaster response & security, recreation, innovation & design, sales & marketing, sourcing & fulfillment, and fundraising. Our collective experience and shared resources allow for this collaboration. We warmly welcome backers of R72 to drive future product development by connecting and collaborating with us here, via this Indiegogo campaign.

We initially asked ourselves, "Why let 72-hour kits sit unused and get outdated when we can create a practical, modular system of vests and bags that are useful for both emergencies and adventures."

Prototypes are in hand! Decisions, decisions. Our highly-skilled prototyper designs military-grade bags. Notice that we're using military weave patterns for both functionality and modularity. When a modular bag is on the vest, it is REALLY on.

While we know not everyone will need this feature immediately, each R72 vest comes with removable flotation liners (pictured in bottom left corner above). Whether you live on an island, on a coast, or in a desert, you never know when a flood might hit. This feature is inspired by too many lives lost in unexpected flash floods. While flotation is NOT the primary intended use of the R72 Grab&Go Vest, we do feel it could be helpful in an emergency. The removable flotation liners may be used with or without the R72 Grab&Go Vest.

Currently the R72 Grab&Go Vest is designed for adults and teens - 20+ inches around waist. For this crowdfunding campaign, we are focused on manufacturing the adult vest first. Once you receive your vest, we would love any feedback for a 2.0 version and a children’s version that will be released in 2021 on RSeventyTwo.com.

Too often, we see families separated during floods and tsunamis. The strap at the top of the R72 Grab&Go vest serves as both a sturdy holding strap, as well as a snap-on-tool to connect and keep families together during disasters.

In the 20 second clip above, R72's Chief of Innovation spends a quick minute showing you how committed we are to functional modularity - the flotation liners can be used in the vest or out of the vest! A reviewer of this campaign page commented that the flotation liners can also be used as a comfortable pillow while camping... too cool! R72 backers will drive future development.

The R72 vests and bags ship in mesh packaging that can be used for multiple purposes. It conveniently carries the bags or doubles as a laundry bag.

*VAT/Customs duty will be pre-charged for customers in EU countries. In all other countries the responsibility is at time of delivery for the backer.
