We are Trevor Brown and Rafael Cintron, co-writers of Rainbow Ring, a new musical that explores the history and mystery of dreams.
The story is driven through our leading lady Melody, who discovers that her dreams can come true...even when they're nightmares. These dreams continue to haunt her as she passes from childhood to young adulthood, inviting trouble at home and school. Feeling forlorn and ostracized by everyone, a glimmer of hope reaches her when reunited with a childhood friend, Riley. He believes in her... and joins her on a journey to uncover the meaning behind her dreams. Their quest reveals some fascinating history of famous dreams and dreamers.
Our musical was truly brought to life by actors who so believed in the project that they invested not only their time but ownership of their characters in this collaboration. Even Covid could not stop the flow of our musical, during which time we presented a virtual showcase via Zoom… for Tony Award winning producer Ken Davenport’s Theater Makers Studio in October 2020 which earned Rainbow Ring the runner-up for Best Musical in the 2021 TMS Awards.
We've since showcased to full and fulfilled houses. And last fall we revised our book into a screenplay and submitted to the New York International Film Awards (NYIFA) festival where we were awarded the Best Musical Script in the Winter of 2023.
So we are ready for the next stage, an actual stage in a theater, and that is why we need you. Theater rentals cost several thousand dollars for one week alone,.. not to mention sound & lighting, recording demos, playbills and costumes.
Rainbow Ring is worthy and ready for presentation to a vast audience. Many have already told us that our songs are ear worms. You can’t get them out of your head. And that the subject of dreams is so intriguing and unexplored in the theater.
Rainbow Ring is ready for Broadway and we feel Broadway is ready for a Rainbow Ring.
