Our mission is to have audiences walking away with a sense of optimism and hope that inspires change in today’s social climate. With the right mindset and by creating a meaningful dialogue, it can get better. While society has improved and made significant strides, there are still deeply closeted teens that could benefit from a film like this, as could their straight counterparts. Help us be an ally for human rights by supporting the next great teen comedy!

When was the last time you saw a teen comedy that made you laugh AND made you cry? Don’t worry, the creators of RainBRO couldn’t think of anything either, which is why they decided to write this funny movie about a very unfunny subject.
With this trailer, we hope to give audiences just a small glimpse of what the feature film has to offer. We emptied our savings accounts to make this concept trailer possible, BUT it was worth every penny because a film like this needs to be made! We are also lucky enough to be fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas, making all donations partially tax-deductible, for more info on Fractured Atlas see below.

We're asking to raise $50,000, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. With that $50,000 we'll be able to:
Hire key crew positions (Cinematographer, Casting Director, etc)
Scout and secure locations for filming (permits, transportation, etc.)
Retain legal services (Form an LLC)
Obtain Insurance
Research and Storyboarding
Basic pre-production costs (office space, supplies, clerical assistance, etc)
AND FINALLY... to show potential financiers and production companies that a film like this has mass appeal from viewers just like you! ![]()
Our creative team has been working on this passion project for the past two years and is ready to bring the film to life on screen. We feel, given the social climate, NOW is the perfect time to tell this story. As you can see from our trailer, we can deliver the goods...all we need is the money, honey ;)

Ryan J. Kaplan: Co-Writer and Co-Director
Ryan J. Kaplan is a writer, director and South African native (wait if he's from Africa, why is he white?). When he is not working on RainBRO, you can find him working as an Assistant Editor on The Bachelor (no, he can't tell you who is going to win). Ryan has an M.F.A from Chapman University and has worked on dozens of short films and tons of television shows, but he believes RainBRO is truly something special. He maintains this film needs to be made, mainly because he wants to watch it; but he hopes you want to watch it too! He believes that this movie has a powerful message wrapped in a delicious candy coating and he wants everyone to taste the RainBRO.

Rachel Werth: Co-Writer and Co-Director
Originally, from Seattle, Washington, Rachel has always been a storyteller. As an only child, she has successfully entertained herself for years and is now under the impression that she’s qualified to entertain you too! As a graduate student at Chapman University, she wrote and directed 3 short films, honing her voice as a storyteller and her vision as a director. While RainBRO is a comedy centered on a very serious subject matter, Rachel believes that comedy has the power to contextualize heavy issues by inspiring discussions that can hopefully lead to change. Beyond RainBRO, Rachel works hard as a Story Producer for hits shows like Bachelor In Paradise and Snapped.
