Our Story
This journey began when COVID forced bunker rakes off the courses. That sparked Ryan Curran, a professional golfer on the Ontario/Canadian mini-tour circuit, to scratch out the initial design of Rake Caddy on a napkin. Isn’t that how all great ideas are born? Ryan brought the idea to me, Mike White, a Mental Performance Coach and former Marketing Agency owner, and a partnership was formed.

The BIG Question
But the question we asked ourselves was, “Does this idea have life after COVID?”. Judging by the reaction to our prototype, the answer was a resounding, “Yes!”. The convenience factor alone scored extremely high with our small test group. Rake Caddy is always with you.

Problems? What Problems?
We also asked ourselves, “What problems are we solving?”.
- The rake always seems to be on the other side of the bunker.
- It gets in the way of a good lie.
- You never know who or what has touched it last.
- Avoids the question, “What is that green thing on the handle?”.
- No splinters or bugs, snakes and other surprises hiding in the grass.
- No rakes on the course speeds up maintenance and saves costs.
- A personal rake improves the pace of play, meaning more revenue for the course.

Promotions and Gifts
Promotional companies are always looking for unique items with ample space for logos. Rake Caddy would make a great addition to any prize table. And of course, it makes a great gift!

Risks and Challenges
Changing the way we rake a bunker can take time. But we have a clear vision on how Rake Caddy will offer a better experience for golfers and golf courses alike. With your support, we can bring Rake Caddy to life.
A golfer might hesitate to add another item to their bag, but at less than 1 lb. and foldable and retractable, it will become an essential tool in the arsenal.
