Ravenscrag
Thank you for visiting the Ravenscrag page and reading our pitch for production of this project. With your donations and social media support we can complete the first chapter of this series.
Background
Ravenscrag is a six-part fantasy/mystery series written by Brian Self. The Ravenscrag story follows three archaeology students who find a 10th century Viking artifact in central Canada. As they begin to uncover the artifact's mysterious past, they are swept into a world of newfound mystery in an epic and moving story.
We have assembled an international group of actors and film crew members. The Ravenscrag cast and crew come from Australia, England, California and Canada. The entire Ravenscrag crew will come together and our story will transpire using Saskatchewan landscapes as the backdrops for many of the scenes.
Project development to date
The Ravenscrag cast and crew will have access to one of the largest and most comprehensive production studios in Canada. Additionally, we have acquired distribution through ROKU, iTunes, Netflix, Hulu and Cable VOD once this project is completed. Filming will take place in October for two weeks, and Episode One is set to release January 28th.
This campaign is for the pilot episode in the series. When episode one is complete and released, it will be pitched to a number of studios to help secure the next five episodes. The scripts for each of these episodes have been written and are ready for production.
What does our independent team of artists and crew members require?
The money you donate will go directly to the project to cover remaining equipment and costume related costs. Your contribution to this series will assist in acquiring and developing costumes, props, set dressings, audio/video equipment, make up artists and hair stylists. When episode one is completed it will be pitched to a number of studios to help secure the development of the next five episodes. One top North American studio has an interest in the series, but they would like us to produce the first episode before making a final decision. All donations over the goal amount will help fund craft services and travel expenses.
Biographies of our Cast (Who are we?)
Jon Rhys
Jon Rhys was born and raised in Canada’s Capital, found his way to his provinces Capital in 2009 pursuing his Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in Religious Studies and History. Humble beginnings in Improv, Theatre, and a life long love of Film has led him to the present; where he is a full time screen actor in pursuit of his passion. His first on screen role starring in “Dead Rush”, is a official selection for “Blood in the Snow” film festival.
Fresh from leading in a TV Pilot, “Ravenscrag”, as Eliot Horbay, many more projects are on the go and in post.
