Hello and welcome from the cast and crew of the all new science fiction adventure, Ray Gunn & Starburst!
Set in the year 2005 (as all the best sci-fi classics are),
newly divorced, Raymond Gunn finds himself lying flat on his back in some seedy
bar, on some seedy asteroid, in some seedy corner of the galaxy, when suddenly
Starburst, a teenage girl and her AI, S.U.I.T (Survival Utility Intelligence
Technology) burst into his life, with adventure, heroism and maybe a bit of
blackmail on their minds. Cue the beginning of the rest of his life. Will he
manage to become a hero? Will Starburst break away from her shady past? Will
the narrator actually be allowed to finish a story without irritating
protagonists interrupting?
Well actually, the answers to all of these questions have been, mostly, rounded up in series one, which you can listen to for free on our website. BUT now we have an all new adventure for our hero and her useless band of sidekicks! (Yes, Starburst is the hero, just in case you all forgot that).
This time round it's about, well, time, time travel to be exact. Enter the mysterious Librarian, curator of the Infinite Library - though it's not really infinite, that would be impossible...probably - who enlists Ray and Star on a dangerous and terrifying mission. Meet a hitch hiker who travels along time lines, and definitely knows more about our heroes than they are letting on. And not to forget intergalactic megastar Jason Lightyear and some moon shuttle hijacking pigs!
Intrigue! Mystery! Romance (sort of)! Unnecessarily complex plot lines involving time travel and techno babble! Did we mention the pigs? It's all here in Series Two.

What We Need & What You Get
We need:
- Your money! Our cast and crew are fussy (yet talented) people who demand such things as food and a bed to sleep in. Plus we have travel costs, studio costs, CD production costs and space pigs don't come cheap. We learned a lot during the funding campaign for series one...like not to offer tote bags as a reward...so we need a lot less funding to make series two, but we still need your help to make it happen.
- Your support! You know people, you've got all those friends on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Myspace, Bebo, AOL...wait...apparently some of those references are out of date...but those people are probably just itching to hear about this awesome sci fi/comedy audio series, and some of them might even want to help fund it. So tell them! Spread the word! Tell them to listen to series one and that they can help there be a series two!
- Your unswerving loyalty and dedication to the cause! All hail Ray Gunn & Starburst our benevolent lords and masters! (Oops, that's little too Castelan isn't it?)

- We've simplified things a bit for series two. We didn't want to inflate our funding target with production costs for badges and t-shirts and all that stuff. We figured that what you want is Ray Gunn & Starburst Series Two, so the idea is that you give us money and in return we make you Ray Gunn & Starburst Series Two. Yes, there are options to get the series in digital and/or hardcopy formats, to gain early access to the series and to really show your support by giving us lots of money in return for a producer credit...but, most of all, you get Series Two.

- Plus that warm, fuzzy feeling inside you get when you support the arts.
The Impact
Ray and Star tend to make an impact by crash landing their spaceship on a planet full of cat people with a fondness for glamping, but if you support this project you'll be making a much more significant and less explodey and cat person related impact:
- Why does Ray Gunn & Starburst matter to you? Because it will entertain you, it'll thrill you, it'll surprise you by making you think and feel stuff when you thought you were just going to giggle about space pigs hijacking a moon shuttle carrying an intergalactic megastar. Not only that, but you get to feel smug about being into it before it got really big.
- Why does Ray Gunn & Starburst matter to the world? Because the world needs a comedy sci fi series that is genuinely good. More importantly than that our cast and crew is made up of incredibly talented young people (and Ian) who will one day be incredibly successful and it all starts here. Your support can genuinely transform people's lives.
- With Series One we were starting from nowhere. Our producer, Ian Sharman, is a successful comic book writer and editor but this was his first time producing an audio series. Our show runner and writer, Holly Rose, is a published comic book writer and a creative writing graduate, Ray Gunn & Starburst was their first time writing a full audio series. For all of us, it was our first time crowd funding a project. And it was a success! We were fully funded, we made the series, people will soon receive all of their rewards and the series received a 9/10 score in a review in Starburst Magazine (we felt like we'd won an Oscar when we read that review!).
- We've made a great start, we've proven that we can see a project like this through to completion, we need your help to make that happen again. We can't do it without you.
Risks and challenges
The only risks to the project are any of the cast and crew getting ill, data corruption to the recordings and acts of God (or possibly orbiting laser platforms obliterating the planet).
None of the rewards will be affected by this, save for the CD but it would still be made and sent out eventually.
