Your generous support will provide a group of young, passionate
filmmakers with the tremendous opportunity to make âRed Dots,â a horror sci-fi
short about the difficult choices we must make in our lives.
THE FILM
"Red Dots" is a short film written and directed by Chau Le. It stars Ana Nenshati and Ben Zaa Gallagher.
The film is about the important moments that require us to make life-altering decisions.
The story follows Henry, a young scientist who has to face a choice about whether to save his friend Anne from being used as a human guinea pig for his fatherâs medical experiments or helping his father accomplish his lifeâs work.
This is a powerful story about family ties, friendships, and the way things can change in a moment.

THE IMPACT
In supporting this project you are supporting a young group of filmmakers productively work towards their aspirations and actively reach their goals.
Pursuing the journey of doing what you love can be very discouraging when you are faced with the fear of failure and you are on your own.
With this film, we have an opportunity to apply our years of experience as independent filmmakers to demonstrate our capacity to make a high-quality film.
We are a team of friends and have worked together for a long time. Each one of us is exceedingly dedicated to our work. We have all done many low budget productions. These previous experiences will allow us to realize the vision of âRed Dotsâ.
We need your help to breathe life in this film. Be our dream-maker who will help us deliver this film to the world of production, post production, and festival submission. We can make this happen together.
YOUR MONEY WILL HELP
Funds raised from this campaign will help us pay for numerous aspects of the film:

OUR PRE-PRODUCTION
This is the second time we are producing this story. Two years ago, Chloe Chau Le directed this film for the 48 Hour film Project in Boston. The film was done in 48 hours and unfortunately our team could not deliver the story in its complete interpretation.
Now, we want to give this film the production it deserves. We have been taking care of each step in pre-production and are making sure we are appropriately prepared for anything whilst shooting.
The role of Henry was to our surprise not a straightforward casting. We went through several auditions but still couldnât find a good face for Henry. So we opted for the actor who played Henry the first time around. We are more than happy to have him back on board in what we are certain will be a much more polished production.
Location scouting was also a challenge. Finding a house that allowed us to film in was nearly impossible as we are not a high budget production. But we prevailed and even took on a timing challenge. Seeing as we can only film in the house at particular times, namely when the owner is home, we are bound by a changing schedule. But we will plan accordingly to execute our vision.
This process has been a very unique national and transnational experience thus far. We are working with three script counselors based in San Francisco, a graphic designer and composer in Sai Gon, Vietnam, and filming in Boston, Massachusetts.

" It was really challenging to produce a short film under 7 minutes in 48 Hour Film Competition, especially I was an actress as well as a director for the film. Our product came undone, but the story was alive in my head for the good 2 years. This time I will give it a valuable production and the vision it should have."
Chau Le - director.
THE TEAM
This production is not only made up of cast and crew members. We are friends and have shared the same passion of creating meaningful films. Everyone involved brings their positive energy and years of experiences in varying aspects of film.
Here we are:
