About Releash

Releash is a revolutionary dog leash made for the safety of your dog.

A dog is part of the family: it's always around you. Just like a family member, you don't want anything bad to happen to your four-legged friend. Sadly, on a yearly basis, thousand of accidents occur when taking the dog for a walk. 

As dog lovers we wanted this to end! That's why we created Releash, a dog leash with a built-in panic release that opens automatically when separated by the doors of an elevator. Besides that, you can quickly connect or release your dog in a dangerous situation, where connecting or releasing your dog quickly is vital. Walking the dog will never be the same, it's easy, safe and looks incredibly stylish.

The Features

The panic release 

In a dangerous situation with the elevator, where the dog is separated from the owner, through the lift doors, the dog will be automatically released through the panic release. The panic release will only open with a specific force of 20 Kilograms (200 N) on the back of the coupling.

Quickly connect and release your dog

With Releash, it's super easy to connect or release your dog. Ideal for dangerous situations where connecting or releasing your dog quickly is necessary. It will never open spontaneously. 

Locate with Tile

Tile is a new generation Bluetooth tracer with which you can find your dog through a smartphone app. The Tile is delivered with a special Releash clip to connect it to the collar of your dog.

A strong connection 

Releash is a dog leash made for dogs up to 40 kilograms and can resist forces up to 120 Kilograms (1200 N). Your dog will never escape, only if you want it to.

Releash is a Dutch design. We aimed for a timeless look that's also very stylish as a dog leash is forever!

We use natural materials, for the coupling eminent aluminum and for the leash the finest bull leather.

Leash 
The Leash is available in one size - a length of 1,30 meter and a width of 20 millimeters.

Collar 

The collar is available in the following sizes:

S - length 27 - 35 cm and a width of 15 mm
M - length 35 - 43 cm and a width of 20 mm
L - length 45 -53 cm and a width of 25 mm

How it al started

One year ago, I experienced a dangerous situation with my own Spanish Water Dog, Ily. After we both stepped into the elevator, Ily decided to jump out just before the doors closed. In a reflex, I threw the leash out of the lift. This incident could have ended real badly and got me thinking. After I did some research online I discovered that yearly, thousands of these incidents take place, unfortunately often with lethal outcome. I was surprised that there wasn't any solution for this problem. Together with my father (Vincent), we started to search for a solution and the idea of Releash was born: A dog leash which automatically releases the dog when owner and dog are separated by the door of the lift. 

We need your support

As dog lovers, we want a world without accidents with our four-legged friends. We believe that Releash is a big step to reach that goal. 

We've put a lot of work into developing and perfecting the Releash. We did this together with Pezy Group a professional Dutch company for product development. At the moment we have working prototypes. However, to start up production, a start capital is needed for tooling and assembly. By backing our project we can make the world a safer place for our dogs.
