For centuries, Argentina has looked toward European cultures with admiration, enriched by multiple waves of immigration. However, over time, European traditions and influences have prevailed over native ones, especially in the country’s capital, Buenos Aires, often called the Paris of Latin America. This short film tells the story of how admiration for European culture can lead us to lose our own roots. 

Director's Commentary: 

Walking through Plaza de Mayo on my way to my University, I would always try to avoid the flock of pigeons that overtook the place. Ironically, they arrived on European ships, becoming an invasive species. It made me wonder: What existed before them? And what have we left behind in their place?

This film is an invitation to honor our traditions and ensure they are not forgotten as we move forward in an increasingly connected world.

What We Need 

We’re in the final stretch of bringing our animated short film to life, and we need your help to cross the finish line!

Our crowdfunding campaign is dedicated to completing the film, ensuring it reaches the highest quality possible. The funds we raise will go directly toward:

- Compositing & Final Touches – Blending animation, backgrounds, and effects for a polished look.

Risks & Challenges

Bringing an animated short film to completion comes with its challenges, including unexpected production delays, technical hurdles in post-production, and the complexities of music scoring and sound design.

Additionally, securing festival placements and distribution opportunities can be competitive and time-intensive. To mitigate these risks, we have a structured production timeline, experienced collaborators, and contingency plans in place.

If challenges arise, we’ll stay transparent with our backers, keep communication open, and explore alternative solutions, such as streamlining certain processes or seeking additional partnerships to ensure the film reaches the finish line. Your support helps us navigate these challenges.
