Poison in the Water!
Glyphosate (Round-up) is the most widely used herbicide in the world. Any form of spill or discharge, even if unintentional, can be
transferred to the water due to its high solubility.
Public awareness of worldwide increased herbicide use and
their adverse effects on ecosystems has been growing over the past decade. Recent studies indicate that these chemicals are carcinogenic to humans. They also
modify food chains and change the stability and resilience of ecosystems Worldwide. There is a real need to extract it from water. the problem is glyphosate formulations simply do what they are formulated to do.....Kill photosynthetic organisms.
Dry glyphosate particles can be blown
around the environment and are found consistently in rain samples in the United States Midwest and other places tested. The amount of Glyphosate formulations and AMPA, the degraded form of glyphosate,
found in lakes, streams, rivers and reservoirs is staggering. Agricultural runoff is causing havoc in rivers, lakes, streams, reservoirs, and even the ocean throughout America. It is a major cause contributing to harmful algae blooms and other water ecological imbalances. Until now, there has been no effective way to remove it from water.
What is the solution?
Magnetic Nanotechnology research has proven in laboratory tests to remove up to 98% of glyphosate formulations and AMPA from water. Global Environmental Legacy Foundation is taking it to the next step. Magnetic Nanotechnology and Capacitive deionization extraction will be tested at a United States federal facility in New Mexico starting October 1st, 2015. The objectives of the testing are to move the technologies out of the lab and into real world environments and to scale up the application to accommodate large water bodies throughout the United States.
What is Global Environmental Legacy Foundation?
Global Environmental Legacy researches and
develops new products and services to improve the quality of the
environment. We form alliances with brilliant minds that create functional
environmental products and apply them to real world problems.
Why are we doing this?
The foundation's founder, Brett
Danson, was poisoned in Hawaii on Kauai’s west side. He was walking his dog
when he noticed a truck, across the street, moving slowly, with a man standing
on the tailgate, wearing a hazardous material suit, holding a fire hose,
spraying the sea wall. There were no signs, just the guy spraying. Much of the
spray went directly into the ocean. http://www.healthyorganicwoman.com/the-solution-to-pollution-cleaning-up-our-water/
Why is this technology so important?
This technology affects everybody
and every living thing that comes in contact with glyphosate or side effects of
glyphosate on the environment. Whether you`re swimming, drinking, bathing, or washing food
or dishes, we need to make sure this carcinogen is removed from water. Testing will expose details and help us engineer effective extraction strategies.
How will this money be used?
Your donations will help pay for tests
where glyphosate formulations and degradations are extracted from large water
bodies. Each formulation of Glyphosate will be
individually tested and validated results will be made public. These tests will determine the effectiveness
of the treatment. In the end, it will be determined how long it will take to
remove each type of glyphosate mixture from water from each technology tested and the most effective way to do it.
Your funds will pay for testing, engineering,
technicians, validation, & insurance. This is your chance to help save the world! Your contribution will help make our
water safe for many generations to come. Thank you!
