We're here on Indiegogo to bring to life a connected edition of our brand new Revolights Eclipse, called Eclipse+. With the Eclipse+ we've been able to make our lighting system smarter than ever before. Eclipse+ offers the same great functionality as Eclipse, but also adds Bluetooth connectivity to enable awesome new features through the new Revolights App.

MEET ECLIPSE, THE NEXT GENERATION OF REVOLIGHTS
Incorporating user feedback, Eclipse is the continuation of our quest to create higher safety standards for night time bike riding and making Revolights the most visible and functional bicycle lighting system on the market.
EASIER TO INSTALL, EASIER TO USE
We've made the installation of Revolights much easier with Eclipse. By eliminating cables and introducing a new rechargeable snap-in battery, the lights now have a streamlined, low-profile design.

Eclipse now integrates the rechargeable battery directly in the rings themselves, thereby making the on/off switch more accessible and removing any need for cables and parts on the spokes or in the hub.

It only takes a few minutes to install the lights. We are confident that anyone with any level of bicycle knowledge can get Revolights installed onto a bike. We also provide support through a number of avenues: with a detailed instruction book, instruction videos, our hotline, live chat and email.
SETTING A NEW STANDARD
Traditional bike lights focus heavily on forward path illumination, use only a small blinking red light for rear visibility, and provide little to no side visibility. This leaves cyclists vulnerable and drivers straining to see them.
Our approach to bicycle lighting is different. Eclipse is the only 360º bicycle lighting solution that provides a legal headlight, functional brake light, and unmatched side visibility.

MEET ECLIPSE+ AND THE REVOLIGHTS APP
Eclipse+ is our long awaited connected version of the Revolights product line. Now with the added technology in Eclipse+, an entirely new dimension of functionality is possible. Eclipse+ will be a different model than Eclipse and will include bluetooth connectivity, new functions, and integrations with the Revolights App.
The Revolights App is currently still in development, but we’ve planned out a set of key features aimed at enhancing your commute, which you'll be able to access through the Revolights App on smart phones as well as a number of wearables with Eclipse+. The app will be compatible with Apple and Android devices and we will ideally add support for other platforms as well going forward.
While more features are in planning, the combination of Revolights App and Eclipse+ will give you access to a new dimension of functionality, such as:

RIDE TRACKING
With the App, we will have a tailored set of ride tracking features. You’ll be able to track your distance, miles per hour, compete in challenges, and set goals.
COMMUTER TOOLS
We’ve also included new tools on the Revolights App to help make sure your commute goes smoothly. For instance, the Revolights App includes an intelligent weather forecast that helps to remind you to bring a coat in case it rains later or let you know that it’ll be sunny for the entire ride.
SMARTER LIGHTS
The Revolights App now enables a whole new set of features that add even more functionality to the lights. With the Revolights App, you’ll be able to check your battery life and remotely turn on/off the lights. By sensing the time of day, your lights can also automatically turn on when you need light, like when you are about to ride at night or when the sun is setting.

TURN SIGNALS
Since our first version we’ve received countless requests for turn signals and now with Eclipse+, we’re thrilled to be offering this functionality. You’ll be able to indicate which way you’re turning through our handlebar mounted control pad, through the app, or through gesture recognition with a supported smart watch. On activation, the rear light will indicate the direction on the respective side through blinking full circle.
FEATURE COMPARISON
HOW IT WORKS
The patented Revolights design consists of four narrow rings of LEDs, two white and two red, which mount directly to the front and rear wheels of your bicycle with the help of four spoke clips per wheel. The lights are powered by a USB-rechargeable battery that snaps directly into the rings.

Each wheel consists of 24 equally spaced bright LEDs, with 8 on at any given moment. A fork-mounted magnet and an integrated accelerometer provide speed and orientation data to the rings, allowing the LEDs to illuminate only when oriented at the front or rear of the bicycle.

By constantly tracking your wheel speed, Revolights is able to detect when you hit the brakes and alert traffic with a first of it’s kind brake light. Once a change in speed is sensed the red will flash at a rapid rate informing tailing traffic that you are decreasing speed. Unlike traditional spotlight style headlights, Revolights patented design creates a spread of light, lighting up the ground as well as elevated objects like street signs. The forward projecting headlight also meets all requirements to be recognized as a legal headlight in the U.S.

How long is the battery life?
4 hours and they are recharged via USB.
How bright is the headlight?
There are a total of 24 LEDs on each wheel, 8 of which of are lit up at any given moment. Each LED is rated at over 35 lumens, but since our LEDs are continually rotating and lumens are a unit of flux (light/area) the most accurate description would be: Revolights brightness = 8 LEDs x 35 lumens each.
What is the weight of Revolights?
The complete weight is 11 oz per wheel.
How are Revolights installed?
Revolights have four ball-and-socket brackets that snap onto your spokes for easy attachment.
How are Revolights theft resistant?
Preventing thievery was an important consideration during the design phase. Because Revolights consist of a solid-ring body welded together during fabrication, the wheel must be removed from the bike in order to remove the Revolights. When you lock up your bike and wheels, you’re also locking up your Revolights.
COMPATIBILITY
What size wheels do Revolights fit?
700c wheels with a tire width of 38mm or less, spoke counts that are multiples of four, and have a front fork/rear chainstay opening is 40mm or more. Revolights for 700c/27inch wheels will also fit a 29" tire, however generally the tires are quite wide (the max we support is 38mm). So depending on tires size you have they may block the ability for the lights to act as a headlight and taillight, but you will still have side visibility.
Will Revolights fit with 700c wheels that have a tire width that is wider than 38mm?
Revolights will still fit a tire width of 38mm or more but the tire will block the ability for the lights to act as a headlight and taillight, but you will still have side visibility.
Will Revolights work with fenders?
Revolights will work with fenders. However, if you have a rear fender the rear projection of light will be partially blocked from directly behind depending on how long the fenders are but the sides will still be completely visible.
Are Revolights compatible with disc brakes?
Revolights are compatible with disc brakes.
Can Revolights handle wet and snow conditions?
We went to great lengths to design Revolights to stand up to wet conditions. The electronics are fully sealed effectively isolating them from the environment. That said, exposure to salt or alkaline dust on the roads creates issues for most electronics, Revolights included. Lithium batteries can also slow their discharge rate during long-term exposure to extreme cold.
