Short Summary
My story is not remarkable or special, it's more like crazy. I keep facing people with disbelief when I tell them what I am planning.
For a long time I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life and I feel like now I am on the right track.. almost.
I am a college student at Mesa Community College and I love it. But sadly they don't have the program I am looking for. I need to transfer soon if I really want to follow my dreams. There is a place where I'd rather be, and that's BYU, Provo. They have what I need. But I don't have what they need from me yet.
I am planning to transfer for the 2015 Winter Semester. You might think it's so far and I shouldn't do such crazy ways to get there, but I've always been a procrastinator and now it's time to plan ahead!
Before I came here to Arizona, I thought life would get easier finally. I hoped to get a job so I might have been able to pay my tuition. This is a small college, and I wasn't succesfull with the job-hunt. My parents could support me for this semester, but I need to step ahead. My family is still in a few financial difficulties and I am ready to take on my life and journey. I hate to do this, I hate to ask for favors and help all the time, but it seems there is no other way.
It is quite difficult to do anything as a Foreign Student from Hungary/England. My family lives and works in England, trying to establish the support we need. I would help them a lot if we didn't need to worry about all my college finances. That's why I am asking for YOUR help!
My plan is to bike - yes, pedal bike- from here to Provo. Around 550 miles. Up and down. In the desert. Under the Sun. But I can do it. I can get there. But I need your help. I have a bike. I have plans. All I need from you is financial support for my starter tuition for BYU and maybe the trip. I know we can do it together. I will sweat, you just click.

I am not a 100% percent sure yet that this is going to be the exact way I am going to go, but this is a brief plan I've got at the moment.
What We Need & What You Get
I did some calculating, talked to people, asked advisors, and it seems that I will need $6,500 for this transfer. I don't even add the money I would need for this trip, I can pay it from my budget. But I need your help, so there is a goal in front of me when I am on the dirty and rusty roads of Arizona and Utah.
In that $6,500 there is the $4,000 that I will need to pay for BYU as a "loan" for emergencies, and the tuition for the first semester. Housing and textbooks are not even included, I will try to get those somehow by the time the semester starts. I know, first it seems like a lot of money -and it is -, but as I can break down this almost 600miles long trip to Provo for each day, I know this amount of money can come from many sources as well! If I can get $10 with each mile I bike, I will reach both of my goals!
Most funders will receive pictures** that I will take on the road at points they might choose. I know it's not a lot, but it is something we can cherish for a long time. They most likely to be mailed after the trip.
**Please note, that if you contribute after the trip (or my lack of internet connection), I won't be able to take pictures for you (unless you'd like me to take one of my destination), but I will post digital pictures that will be taken during the trip and you can choose one, and I will happily mail them with a short note to you!
