What is Ringside
This is a short about a young boxer, and his struggle to overcome the pain/torment of his childhood trauma in the midst of finding success in the ring.
- My name is Victor Quintana, and I'm the writer and director of "Ringside."
- Boxing was always an interest of mine growing up, and I'm looking forward to being able to share this story through a visual medium.
- Through this project, I want to bring light to the struggles that many people have experienced, and provide some encouragement, showing that they are not alone. My goal is to open up the space and create a dialogue about the importance of healing instead of suppressing our pain.
What We Need & What You Get
- We are looking to raise $5,000 so that we can make this project a reality.
- The funds will go to various aspects of production, including location rentals and permits, costume and props, craft services
- Everyone who donates $100+ will receive an Executive Producer credit on the film.
The Impact
Your financial contribution will go toward providing an opportunity for young creatives to share their talents and work on their craft.
- This project will help build the resume of up and coming creatives looking to break into the industry.
- Your help will allow us to display our best work on the screen.
Risks & Challenges
With this having a boxing setting, one of the main challenges is renting a gym so that we can portray an authentic environment for the scenes.
- A large portion of this fundraiser will go toward securing our locations, and production design to make the setting as realistic as possible.
- We will also make sure to properly choreograph our boxing scenes to make sure our actors are safe when shooting these scenes.
