What are you getting yourself into?

Hey everyone! My name is Vonnell Young and Delta Dogs is an on-going series that takes place in Virginia and the Millennial Comics Universe! 

A chance encounter results in seven cousins gaining what every child hopes for... Superpowers! Unfortunately, they discover that being superpowered teens leads to hard, complicated lives. Bad decisions are made, and the cousins get trapped between a gang war, a mad scientist, and studying for their next test. Their future now relies on creating the very thing that jeopardizes their livelihood... a gang, but one where they fight for justice (Or so they hope!). To survive they must decide to use their powers for a greater purpose, but they soon realize that not everyone feels the same.
 

Our Resolve

We wanted to come up with a tall tale of teens gaining superpowers and having the time of their lives fighting bad guys but writing this story, it just didn't turn out that way. It became something more. Family, friends, getting through hard times, trying and getting knocked down mystery, etc. It became an anomaly. 

Not every hero starts off as one. This story isn't about the destination of a hero but the journey of becoming one.

Our Goal

We hope to not just inspire our youth but also adults too! To do this we need to get these books in your hands so you will be ready for Delta Dogs season 2. We are working on season 2 now and we just need a few more dollars to get it off the ground and running and of course a few more readers to push us forward. Everything is done and printed for season 1. We just need YOUR help to get to the next phase of this amazing series!

Why This Story?

We don't see too many black representations that not only LOOK black but FEEL black as well. Not all of us are from the street nor do we want to be. These cousins are GOOD kids that are trying to find their way in all this craziness that the world has to bring and EVERYONE can relate to that.

Time of Shipment

We already have the shipping supplies, the pdf files ready, all 1-10 issues printed, and our local printing company on standby waiting for us to send the payment to get the variant covers printed. Everything else depends on how fast we can package your orders and ship them to you. This could take a month or two depending on how many backers but we will be working hard every day, all day to get this to you SOONER! We plan on sending the pdfs within the first week or so. You guys are our number 1 priority and we take your time and hard-earned money VERY SERIOUSLY.

What we NEED!

We honestly need your help getting the word out to the world that we are here and that this series is worth your time. We have successfully released 1 issue a month for 10 months to complete our season 1 run. We can do it again and better! All we need is you guys' support and love to keep pushing us forward! If you can't contribute, share with someone who would like this. One of the number one thing that hurts us is silent supporters. 

Our Struggle

We were signed up for over a dozen comic cons and events but everything was put on hold because of the pandemic. The only thing we have to do on our part is printing the the variant covers for you guys and ship them off. We will use this funding to get season 2 drawn up and completed for the next ride! No matter the struggle, we WILL find a way and do you guys justice for your time and support!
