THANK YOU ALL FOR ACCOMPLISHING THIS! I'm amazed and humbled by your support.
CLICK HERE TO HEAR DEMOS FOR "ROAM" ON SOUNDCLOUD
UPCOMING SHOWS in NYC:
Thursday, April 25 at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 - 9pm (CLICK FOR TICKETS)
Guess what: I have another album to make. It's already written, and I'm not currently on a never-ending tour, so it won't take very long.
It's called "Roam" and some of you have heard early demos of it already. I'd love to play it on the new Volta cello, and while we're on the subject of gathering resources: I know it won't cost too much.
It's time to get found and then lost again.
And then found.
Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart!

Dear Friends and lovers of music,
It’s time to move forward. I love my old, beat-up cello I’ve played for so many years. I treasure the music we’ve made together, but now that I’m back in New York and hitting stages with some of my heroes (Bernie Worrell, Angela McKluskey, Steven Bernstein, The Kimocks, Mike Doughty, Todd Reynolds), I need an instrument that fully supports me on stage. It’s time to make some new sounds.
Cellos are much harder to amplify onstage than guitars. Master violin maker Charles Rufino in a trans-hemispheric collaboration with Danish electronics designer Michael Edinger have created the Volta line of acoustic-electric instruments. They presented the Volta cello at the New Directions Cello Festival last June where we met. They loved my cello style and I loved their work. They want to help me and very generously offered to let me have their prototype at cost.
This is an incredible step forward for me. The Volta cello allows the true sound and character of my performance to come out. The music I will make on it will continue to push boundaries of genre and sound, and a more polished instrument will allow me to play in a wider variety of settings.
Most orchestral-grade instrument costs start at around 20K. Michael and Charles are offering me The Volta cello for $8,000. Please consider making a donation towards a new beginning. Because every little bit counts!
I appreciate your support from the bottom of my heart. All donations are meaningful. If you can’t spare the money, consider helping me spread the word – email this page to friends who love music, link it to your social media posts.
I’m still here, thanks to you.
Much love and gratitude,
Trevor
PS: A word about my MUSIC SESSIONS:
Many of you have said that I found a unique new sound. Sharing the process with others is vitally important to me.
My work focuses on the psychological approach to playing and singing. With a magic bag of practice tricks and groove deepeners which work on most instruments.
Some of you want help and here's your chance.
Finding my own voice, sound, and style was a long, hard, crooked path of discovery. Now I have a road map and can help you as well. Let's get together. We can work anywhere, on Skype or at my place.
