No more! On the other hand, as builders of technologically advanced homes, specialising the last decade on zero energy housing, we have watched many of our clients spending large amounts of money in kitchen furniture and equipment, only to confess most of them that they would scarcely use what they invested on and, having to work on full time jobs, they would have to live mainly on deliveries and takeaways. It seemed as a natural conclusion to us that an automated robotic kitchen, that would not cost more than what our clients spent anyway on a classic kitchen, would get them out of thus vicious circle. We set up a team and research centre almost two years ago and, started with the concept and ended with a fully featured working prototype of a fully automated kitchen which not only meets our original expectations but through the experience acquired on the way went far beyond them. Costs were thankfully kept within our original forecasts without compromising quality. The robotic kitchen working prototype presented in the accompanying video and photos has gone through exhaustive tests proving the durability and integrity of the system beyond doubt even though some prototype parts had to be printed on 3Ds instead of the titanium on the production model.

We are also very proud for the software system we proprietary developed by which recipes are coded. It is extremely user friendly, works as a simple puzzle game and using it we are able to code thousands of recipes in only a few steps.

Our automated kitchen intents to liberate households from the burden of cooking, elevate the quality of living and allow families and individuals, in case they need to, to use their newly acquired free time to increase their household income as well. They will just have to supply the fresh ingredients for any recipe in the integrated refrigerator of the kitchen and off to their jobs, The robots need only to know when the meal should be ready, for how many servings and specific taste preferences. These instructions are sent to the system via WiFi from anyplace. Home or office, via smartphone, tablet or laptop or desk top computer.

Robots never forget - And they always do it right

On another tone, what is really nice about robots is that whatever they are taught they never forget. And as such, a recipe they cook for a thousand times will always be as delicious as they cooked it the first time, provided of course the ingredients a user supplies will not be inferior, The delta robots can move with an accuracy of as little is one tenth of a millimetre! I am an engineer, not a chef. But even with the fully functional working prototype of our robotic kitchen I can assure you I can pick up the best recipe from a grandmaster's chef cookbook and cook it the exact same way the grandmaster did in the first place.

Why we need you to support the the Robotic Kitchen

Our company has a long successful record in home building with a large score of happy customers who keep us going by word of mouth and we have been a few of the companies that stood steady even during the financial crisis a few years back. For this reason we have been able to be debt free all along and our relations with our bank is only depositing and withdrawing.This is why we could curry the financial burden of researching and prototyping from our own pocket up to this moment and still have the means to go a few steps forward, but not for long. This is a venture with worldwide impact and need people who look to the future come and walk with us.

With a fully working prototype and the firmware/software we developed we are in fact ready to start setting up production ourselves on a small scale within the financial framework of our own company. But that is not our intention. We also intend to co-operatre with established home appliance manufacturers  who can provide us with the appliances our robotic kitchen uses, such as refrigerators, hobs, ovens, electric pressure cookers, etc. This way we can use the distribution network and their representatives worldwide to install and service the robotic kitchen to as many regions and countries as possible.

The challenges ahead

We are targeting high for the reasons already explained, and it is very reasonable for one to ask: what if you fell short in funding. What happens with the funds you already got? We hope we will not have to, but if we do we go to plan-B: set up production to the scale our own funds and contributor funds allow and seek for industrial investors or a sort of franchising. We did file for patents which are now pending and we are protected even if they are not issued yet. However the best way to make sure you stay way ahead and that any possible future competition will have hard time to reach you is to come out strong and fast. If you fail to do that and there is hot demand for your product then you are infected with overtrading and you become an easy prey for future competition which steps in to fill the gap.

Look what happened with electric pressure cookers. Not to mention names or brands, but famous electric  pressure cooker fell short in supplying their product to several continents for months while hot in demand and dozens of new brands  found the chance to emerge, some even probably better and cheaper!
