We’ve invested a lot in RoomMe’s architecture in order to ensure maximum security and safety:
No Cloud - All presence detection decisions are done locally on and by the RoomMe Sensor.
No Personal Identification - RoomMe Sensor will notify an entering smart phone about its Room location. No personal identification required.
No Data Sharing - Your automation rules are yours. The RoomMe app does not share this information or backup it on a RoomMe cloud. Rules are stored on your SmartPhone only.
Local Control - Whenever possible, RoomMe will use local communications in order to control Smart Home devices.
No External Commands - RoomMe does not accept Smart Home device operation commands from external sources, making it impossible to tweak your defined rules or bypass them.

Smart Homes Aren’t Too Smart
No offense, but your “Smart Home” isn’t really all that clever.
It can’t even tell who’s in which room of the house. A dog can do that. With RoomMe, your smart home knows who’s in which room, and adjusts all the settings automatically to your preferences. And that’s when the real magic happens. With each additional smart home device in your home, your customization options grow.
Set your preferences then let your phone's presence set your home in motion.

FAQ's
Q1. I have a hub, why do I need RoomMe?
RoomMe enables you to set up your home to be totally automated. So when you walk into a room your settings are activated, without needing to adjust them yourself.
Q2. How many sensors do I need?
One for every room you'd like to automate. Since RoomMe detects 'exiting rooms' as entering another, in order to activate RoomMe in one room only, you need two- one for the room, and one for just outside the room to detect the exit event.
Q3. Is one sensor per room enough?
Yes
Q4. Is it easy to setup?
Yes, just a few minutes and no professional assistance with the included detailed instructions.
Q5. Where do I install RoomMe?
RoomMe is installed at the ceiling above the room entrance.
Q6. Can it detect leaving a room?
RoomMe detects room leave by detecting an entry to another room.
Q7. Which devices does RoomMe work with for presence detection?
Currently RoomMe works only with Smartphones and tablets with Bluetooth 4.0 Peripheral mode capabilities. Included are all Apple Phones (From iPhone 4 onward) and Tablets as well as newer Android devices (most devices which shipped with Android 5.0 from factory).
Q8. Is there a monthly fee?
No, absolutely not!
Q9. Is RoomMe battery operated?
Yes. RoomMe requires two standard Alkaline D-Type batteries which are not included in the kit.
