ROOTWOMAN is a sonic journey of my roots/routes from Mississippi to Chicago, to D.C. and Brooklyn, gathering Conjure recipes along the way. My sound lives at the intersection of raw ritual, country Blues, and city funk.
It's a Delta girl's Gumbo. You can taste in it my sharecropping, shop-keeping, migrating, farming, herb-doctoring ancestors, and you can hear in it my urban peregrinations and Midwestern obsession with the Groove. It's Memory Medicine, for heart and mind.

we’re raising, production is going to be the greater part, and a significant amount
of funds go into the process of sharing the music with
the world: We've chosen the 'Flexible Funding' model --this way there'll be no "surprise" charges in your bank account 2 months after your pledge-- BUT we are focused on an All or Nothing approach-- we need to raise the full $27K by MAY 29! Your contribution will be processed immediately and move us closer to our goal!
