What does The Revolver do?
Ever wanted to rotate your front snowboard foot so you are more comfortable in the lift line, cat walk, or while on the lift?
Ever wanted to change the angle of your snowboard foot and lock it into place at any angle while going down the hill?
...and for the more Adventurous... ever wanted to be able to rotate your front foot while going down the hill???
What Will Funding Be Used For?
Funds are to be used for two things:
- Manufacture the injection molds ($40K)
- Manufacture 1000 units ($40K)
$20K has already been raised!
Total Funding needed: $60K
If the funding goal is not reached - all funds will go towards manufacture of the injection molds. Another Indiegogo crowdfunding will then take place until all funds are achieved.
What You Get:
For $100 you get a Revolver, a rear spacer (so that both feet are the same level), and a bag of screws / washers for installing The Revolver onto your snowboard!
How it Works:
This device is an adapter plate that fits between the snowboard and the snowboard binding. Once installed, you simply pull the locking pin up, rotate your foot where you want it, and release the pin. That's it!
For the more adventurous - if you want to rotate your front foot while snowboarding, just pull the pin, rotate the pin 90 degrees and your foot is then free to move between 0 and 90 degrees! Don't worry, there is a safety mechanism that keeps your foot from rotating too far.
Snowboarding with the device unlocked is like riding a bike for the first time. At first you are a bit unsure - but after a couple of runs you get the hang of it! Once you try it you'll never go back!!!
Also - after about 30-50 days of riding the low-friction pucks that exist between the two plates will wear down. These pucks can easily be raised up to take up any slack that exists. There is a video of how to do this on the website: See www.revolvergear.com "Instructions" tab.

Risks & Challenges
Engineering is all done; the prototypes work great; and manufacturing is already set up!
The current prototypes are milled out of block aluminum. Because the injection molds and production units have not been manufactured yet - production units have not been tested.
