Basically, we want to make horror films scary again!

What We Need & What You Get
Here's a breakdown of what we need:
- Lens Hire (3-4 day period)
- 3 Axis Gimble Hire
- Lighting Equipment Hire (3-4 day Period)
- Costumes
- Make-up FX
- Smoke Machine hire (3-4 day Period)
- SFX post production budget
- Sound Mix Budget
While the project itself will cost over £1000 to produce we already have over half the money for this project. The £600 we are trying to crowdfund is for the above items needed for production and the few elements we require in post-production to add the polish we need so that our project stands out.
In return we are offering a Thank You on twitter via our personal accounts, A credit at the end of the film as well as extras like Executive producer credits and even Digital Copies of the short film including extras like Behind the scenes footage, also early access to all this a month before its official release on Youtube & Vimeo.
We would love to offer more, like T-Shirts, DVDs/Blu rays etc but we just don't have the money to produce those, if we did we wouldn't need your help. So starting at the low price of £5 (about as much as a cup of coffee) you can get a credit at the end of our short film.
The Impact
Your contribution (no matter how big or small) is extremely important, we want to make the best possible short film we can without spending ridiculous amounts of money, the money we hope to raise will make a massive difference to the overall quality of the final product and will help us achieve that much quicker.
All the above elements in the breakdown soon add up and although we have some gear (i.e. Camera,Rig, Monitors, Editing and sound gear) these other essential parts will make our vision achievable.
Risks & Challenges
Overall this project is the biggest thing we have attempted to date and obviously will have it's risks, rewards and certainly challenges.
The main challenges we have are within the production itself, the story is set at night and shooting in very low-light conditions proves to be tricky, our plan to resolve such issues is to film while a small amount of natural light is available to us and use some clever lighting techniques, then darken the footage in post production to make it look later in the evening than it really is. These tricks combined with some Colour correction will mean we can capture as much detail in the image and still achieve the dark, night-time look we want.
Other challenges we face are within post production, we plan to have a few FX shots that are essential in selling the supernatural aspect of the story. While these FX are achievable they also require a lot of testing, preparation and time.
