The I.D.E.A.L. Reading Foundation - Ideas Dan a los Estudiantes para Apoyar a su Lectura, a not-for-profit,501 (c)3, corporation, headquartered in New York - was founded by Ian Hynes when he was a senior at the Gow School in South Wales, NY. Ian a student with severe dyslexia, knew first hand how hard school can be for students like himself. Ian who firmly believed he would be a drop out if his family hadn't placed him at the Gow School wanted to find a way to give other kids the same advantage he had.Today Ian's I.D.E.A.L. is actively, raising funds to help our partner schools identify dyslexics and find ways to teach them successfully by providing support especially in the area of technology to those students who do not have the resources Ian had.
