Safe Harbor Lab Rescue's mission is to rescue and successfully re-home stray, abandoned or surrendered Labrador Retrievers located primarily in Colorado. We partner with professionals in the Denver area to provide medical care, training resources and breed education. When resources allow, we are able to assist abandoned Labs neighboring states. Safe Harbor is an entirely volunteer organization which has been operating successfully for 10 years. All our rescued Labs receive the medical care they need to ease their pain and suffering, are fostered in a loving environment and they are adopted to thoroughly screened families. 100% of your donation will go directly to help Daisy.

Safe Harbor annually rescues about 250 Labs a year and finds them forever homes. The majority of these dogs would end up euthanized in shelters and would not have an opportunity to provide their new owners with the joy of having a special dog in their home. Most of these dogs are extraordinary animals who have tolerated either abuse or abandonment and then suffered the trauma of being put in a shelter - and yet they still want to be loved by their new owners. We have hundreds of success stories - due to our dedicated volunteers and people like you who help.

Daisy’s Story

When an urgent call for help for an injured puppy came from a shelter on the western slope of Colorado, our intake, transport, medical and foster team volunteers quickly sprang into action. Just ten weeks old, little Daisy had been attacked and seriously injured by a large powerful dog, which left her with a very painful broken jaw and injured paw. She was stabilized at a local clinic and then driven across the state by a volunteer who met us at our vet partner, Alameda East Veterinary Hospital, where her jaw was repaired by oral surgeons.

Safe Harbor Lab Rescue is committed to going the extra mile for the Labs we rescue; nothing is more important than that they have the best life possible. Your kind donation to help with Daisy's care will be most appreciated.

All contributions are 100% tax deductible. Safe Harbor Lab Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization and is registered with the State of Colorado.
