Short Synopsis
After
meeting a young man at her graduation party, Anna goes on her first date since
eleventh grade. All goes well, until she wakes up in a dark, dreary room,
surrounded by girls and boys her age. It does not take long for her to realize
that she has been dragged into the disturbing world of human trafficking. The
girls are constantly berated and beaten by traffickers and their ruthless
leader, Darcia. With the help of Maria, another young girl caught in the mass,
and Joshua, a man unwittingly thrown into the web, Anna refuses to give up hope
as she fights to break free from the trafficker’s lethal grasp.
About the Project
Salva Nos is a social justice drama that portrays one of
many human trafficking scenarios across the world. Our goal is to show the
audience how beautiful and precious life is while at the same time displaying that
it doesn’t come without its own dangers. This story is not about statistics;
this is about lives, lives that deserved to be rescued, protected and restored.
Human trafficking is one of the world’s fastest growing
criminal industries and it affects every nation across the globe. It could
happen to anyone; our best friend, our children, our siblings, and the urgency
to start acting is now and not leave it for tomorrow.
We intent to accomplish this by following the story of our
main protagonist, Anna, who is a manifestation of the millions of lives across
the world and her story loosely follows the structure of true-events of women
who have revealed their story.
We are passionate in bringing this movie to life because we
want to help those people that have been taken from home and forced into a life
of servitude and cruelty. We want to raise our voice and give voice to those who have been silenced.
Salva Nos relies in the roots of creating awareness, inform
and educate about the problem, and introduces a very important question: What
am I going to do about it?
We are a low budget independent film, we share passion, drive and creativity.
Our
story is one we believe in and we want to share it with the world. This
film is a reality for so many and there is support out there.
Thank you for taking the time to check out our campaign.

Risks and Challenges
Our
biggest challenge with making Salva Nos is budget. We
want to step out of our comfort zones and create a professional looking film.
With low budgets we must rely heavily on our creativity which is good,
but a little extra support could give Salva Nos the chance to shoot
in places and with costumes that we otherwise wouldn't have access to.
The money we raise will help tremendously in the art department and with extra
resources we
can support our story through other departments, like production design
and cinematography.
Paying for locations is a challenge. While we have astounding support
from the community, we don't have the budget to support some of the
locations that would make Salva Nos that much better.
Everyone working on the film is donating their time
because they believe in the film. With a little help we could supply
snacks and maybe lunch to show our gratitude to everyone coming out to
support our film.
Don't have money to
contribute?
