My name is Travis Peagler, and I’m so relieved to introduce our powerful documentary, "Satan, Get Thee Behind Me."

Synopsis

"Travis Peagler, the youngest of seven, has always known demons exist. Witnessing the cruel torment of his former Marine father and troubled older sister, Travis has fought his own fierce battles against these relentless forces. Over four decades of pain and trauma are unearthed as Travis and his loved ones navigate the chilling interplay between mental illness and demonic possession. Together, they seek to unravel the mysterious connection between these afflictions and find a path to healing and redemption."

This subject is often considered taboo, as many are afraid to be labeled, judged, or have people look at them like they're crazy... but this is not a Hollywood movie... no sir, no ma'am, this is real life and millions of people around the world are plagued by these forces. I thank all of my family for being brave enough to talk in grave detail about our family's dark encounters. By sharing our story, we aim to spark conversations, raise awareness, and provide hope to those who feel alone in their struggles.

This documentary is directed by the talented Mike Harris, produced by the amazing Marcus Mizelle, and features the incredible cinematography of Tyler Lee Cushing. Christian Slay Films has teamed up with Forte Pictures to bring you this masterful film.

What We Need & What You Get

We are seeking $50,000 to complete the final stages of production and distribution for our documentary. Here’s a breakdown of where the funds will go:

Post-Production: $10,000 for editing, sound design, and color correction.
Marketing and Promotion: $20,000 for developing promotional materials, social media campaigns, and press releases.
Distribution: $15,000 for festival submissions, private screenings, and securing distribution deals.
Contingencies: $5,000 for any additional unexpected expenses.

In its simplest terms, SATAN GET THEE BEHIND ME is a portrait of a family. It is Travis Peagler’s family, but it might also be your own - or mine - for none of us is without affliction. It is a film about what it means to be alive in America in the 21st Century, though it stretches its gaze further back, showing that the demons we battle today have walked beside us a long time… they have troubled our siblings, our parents, and beyond. I and am forever and immensely grateful to Travis and his family for trusting me to tell their story. It is a story of possession and dispossession, at once modern and classical… the timeless tale of darkness versus light.
