Leader of the Band

Thank you for looking at this campaign and my family's plea for people's charity. I am Dave's son and he has 3 daughters, a wonderful wife of 38 years, 7 grandchildren, and many, many friends. Dave is an incredible father, husband and example to all he meets. Dave is quite young being 62 years old and it shocked our family when he was diagnosed and declined so quickly. My wife and I took them in and have paid expenses but we are needing help at this juncture. All of the family and friends have been very generous but it doesn't make a dent when you talk of medical care, plane trips to MD Anderson where he is finally an accepted patient, lodging for he and his wife in between chemo, bills, etc. We are PLEADING with anyone who has the ability to help us keep the leader of our family alive.

What We Need & What You Get

We are needing at least 10k to fund all of the expenses for his long chemo treatment. Currently he is admitted at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas because the disease has caused bleeding in his brain which effects his vision, speech and balance. Once they can stop this, he will go through multiple rounds of chemotherapy requiring travel from the Dallas area to Houston every other week for an undetermined length of time.

You will be helping keep hope alive for our family by helping. This is the greatest man I know and worth your donation. The world would lose greatly if he left it.

The Impact

My children and the children of my sisters have all been told that it will be a very small Christmas this year as we are funneling all extra money to aid Dave. They don't care because they want their Papa to live.

My mother cries with me on the phone because she thinks and agonizes over being a burden on her family financially.

Please help us stop worrying how we are going to make this work financially. Please help my mother have peace so she can be there for her husband.
