Alternativt betala in till vårt bankgirokonto 5075-7111.
ENGLISH
Why this documentary?
This documentary shows only three separate cases at different locations in Sweden. During this journey, we have come into contact with more families and individuals who are struggling to get help. We hear their stories about how the health care system, school, government, organisations, etc. are not there for them and their well-being. This documentary is just the first step in trying to influence and help.
We want to create a debate with the documentary. With all that happens in Almedalen and the transphobia that exists in our community - as recently seen in the parade during London Pride - knowledge needs to be disseminated in every way possible. There are many organizations working for this and we want to contribute to the spreading of knowledge.
We've already filmed all the material and right now the film are at the stage of being cut and refined. We are incredibly grateful to the families who chose to participate in the documentary. The trust they have shown us has helped us create a documentary where we get very close to them. It is an honor for us to open up to us and we are proud of this film.
But we need your help
Although the documentary has already been filmed, the path to the spread of knowledge is long. So far, everyone has worked ideally with this project and the funds we have received has only covered the expanses for recording and travel.
In order to be successful with the project, we still need financial assistance. We have applied for money but have received an answer that this question is not relevant. Organizations that say that these problems don't exist, and maybe in Stockholm. But in the small towns, the problems still exist. Help us change it.
We have set $1000 as the first goal, but in order to pay all we owe we need to get up to at least $20000. It's a long way there so now we're fighting together!
What is the money for?
- Educational materials
- The SAFE Fund, which is an ideal association where you as a HBTQ person can apply for financial support for ex-travel expenses or medicine.
- External persons who were involved in the project and worked 12h a day to cut and mix the material
Our plan
We show the premiere at Europride in Stockholm (July 30) and in Göteborg (August 14). There we also invite you to a panel where you can ask questions. This is the start of our trip. We want schools, film festivals and individuals to be able to take part of the film.
We have also started the "SAFE Fund" which will be a tool for the HBTQ people, primarily transgender people, who need financial support that benefits their mental health. Among other things, travel expenses to the gender investigation team, support for medicine, etc.
The project has had many names, and it can be confusing when you hear the different role models in the promos say different names: Transforming and SAFE. SAFE documentary is a collective name of the documentaries we want to create in the future. "Save our lives" is the beginning.
Now let's make a change!
