Falls of Clyde, a National Historic Landmark ship in Honolulu Harbor, is in need of a drydock to clean, repair, and paint her hull, which is the foundation that will assure her preservation and ultimate restoration. The drydock work is the major project for the preservation of this 1878, iron-hulled, four-masted sailing oil tanker, built in Port Glasgow, Scotland , and now the last of her kind in the world.

Although the drydock is the most important project, we do have several restoration projects that will be initiated both before and after the drydock. The mission of Friends of Falls of Clyde, a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization is to preserve and restore the National Historic Landmark vessel for the benefit of the citizens of Hawaii and all visitors.

We have identified eight (8) projects to be funded that will all move our mission forward. Any of these projects will enhance the ship as a visitor destination and learning platform for maritime  sailing history.
