One reason why children in Ghana don’t go to school is
because they don’t have a school uniform. The lack of school uniforms has
become an obstacle which has a negative impact on school attendance and
education.
When the parent or caretaker doesn’t
have enough money to buy a uniform they don’t send the child to school. Also,
when a child’s uniform gets torn and the parent can’t afford to fix it, the
child will stop attending school.
The aim of this campaign is to provide
uniforms to 91 children in the community Mafi-Dedukope. The children are in Kindergarten,
lower primary and the middle school and lack a uniform or wear a torn uniform.

The plan is to give uniforms to the youngest children (5-6 years) first, as they begin 1st class in August and the uniform will give them a good start to their
education.
The cost of making the uniform (the fabric and
the tailor fee) is $13 (50 Ghana Cedi). The uniforms will have a positive effect on the children’s attendance
in school as well as contribute to the livelihood of the tailors in the
community.
Please contribute to a brighter
future for the children by making a donation or by sharing the campaign with
your friends and family! Every contribution is valuable and much appreciated!
