Someone Dies In This Elevator is a spoiler-driven anthology series where there is always an elevator and someone always dies in it. Not sure what that sounds like? You can listen here!
Our first season was incredibly well received! Someone Dies In This Elevator was a 2021 New Jersey Web Fest Winner, a 2022 Miami, Minnesota, and Apulia Web Fest Official selection, and an Audio Verse Awards 2021 Winner in 7 categories. We've been featured on Buzzfeed, Bello Collective, and Acast's Blog!

We've been hard at work producing the second season of this award-winning podcast, and we'd like to pay our cast and crew - but we need your help! As thanks for your support, we have some great perks for you, including early season access, a custom made TTRPG, stickers, postcards, and more! SDITE Season Two will consist of eleven main episodes, two bonus episodes, and a series of microsodes at the end of the season.

The show was founded as a creative writing exercise – a “what if” that turned into “wait, we could do that." The show name seems to tell you everything you need to know – someone dies in this elevator, but everything the title doesn’t tell you (Who? When? How? Why?) is what draws you into each story. Every single one is different! Season two will consist of thirteen fully produced episodes. Each main episode is written by a different writer, contains new characters and a new story, and is brought to life with full sound design and scoring. Right now, Season 2 is finished! It will premiere October 10, 2022, but supporters can get the entire season when our crowdfunding ends by backing any of the early access tiers.

Here's what people are saying about Someone Dies In This Elevator:
“Someone Dies in this Elevator is a clever and deceptively simple concept that packs in surprise and subversion at every turn. Featuring an impressive array of writers and actors, this show is an excellent addition to the array of anthology podcasts that keep listeners on the edge of their seats.” – Lauren Shippen, of Atypical Artists
"Someone Dies in This Elevator is a fantastically inventive, original piece of audio fiction, the likes of which I have not heard before in the podcast space. With bright, brilliant sound design, compelling performances and twists that range from jaw-dropping to heartwrenching, I strongly recommend it to any fans of the medium. You will not regret stepping into this particular elevator!" - Ella Watts, of Doctor Who REDACTED
“The show is like a kind of reverse murder mystery, which leaves the audience guessing who dies and why, before they actually do. I loved the variety of stories, in which we see snippets of different people’s lives, from everyday situations in our reality, to futuristic worlds – all revolving around different kinds of elevators. This first season is a rollercoaster of emotions!” – Robin Howell, of Seren

Our producer and showrunner is Tal Minear, also known for Sidequesting, What Will Be Here?, and several other productions that can be found hiding around corners and inside elevators. Tal is a big fan of doing weird things with audio and bringing as many people along for the ride as possible. They've spent the last year working hard to ensure that this season is the best it can be!
When you support SDITE, you support a group of amazing indie artists, including queer, trans, neurodivergent, and disabled artists, as well as creators of color. You're also supporting stories with that representation!

The fact that you care enough to read all the way to the bottom of this campaign means a lot! It's okay if you can't support the campaign - here's some other things you can do to help us get funded:
-
Share this campaign on social media. Original posts generate more donations than link drops alone, so tell your friends why the should support the show! Most people need to see a message at least 7 times before they take action, so follow up with them to help generate word of mouth.
-
Like/RT/Comment on our social media posts to please the algorithm, and tag people on your social media posts and ask them to share the campaign!
-
Share our trailer on your podcast!
-
Write a blog post about the show! Do you want to review an episode of season two? Email Tal for a press kit.
-
Tell your friends about how much you love the show!
-
Tell your enemies about how much you hate the show!
-
Tell people you're next to in an elevator about the show! They can't run away from you.
The only way we're going to hit our goal is if a bunch of people see our crowdfunding campaign. Telling everyone you know about it will absolutely make a difference, especially if you tell them why you think they should support us. We don't have thousands to spend on a marketing campaign, so we really depend on you! (Our marketing department is Tal let loose on twitter after their morning cup of tea).
Here's something you can copy/paste and tweet out right now:
