THE FILM AND STORY
Set in Los Angeles, a cynical but sensitive private eye and his retired getaway-driver partner are caught in a web of mystery and violence when they uncover a deadly conspiracy. It involves corrupt Hollywood producers, hired assassins and the secret world of animal liberation. They ultimately join forces with the animal activists to expose the truth.
Search & Rescue is a blend of genres combining action, dark comedy, romance and suspense. It's the world's first crime-thriller with a powerful animal rights message.

WHY WE ARE MAKING THIS FILM
We are making this film because animals can not speak for themselves and we see it as our duty to give them a voice. We want as wide an audience as possible to stop and think about how animals are systematically mistreated, and to take action. We will accomplish this by creating a meaningful and entertaining story that doesn’t preach or shame, but leaves a lasting effect on its viewers.
WHY WE NEED YOU
We want to make this film free from the involvement of studio and marketing execs, who would likely minimize our animal rights message. As this is the heart and soul of the piece, we need to be truly independent. This is more than just another crime-thriller. It's a film with a conscience - one that shares desperately-needed and often suppressed information on the current state of animal welfare. With your collaboration, we can make this story happen!
WHAT YOU GET
We are all about the experience and we don't want to saddle you with too much useless swag that'll just take up space in your drawers. We are offering perks that get you into the action of the filmmaking process!

IMPACT
We are working to raise awareness and funding for The Cat House On The Kings, the world's largest sanctuary and adoption center for rescued cats and dogs. This animal sanctuary will be a featured location in the film. We are donating a portion of the film's profits to benefit the welfare and safety of these rescued animals, and to ensure they have a home at The Cat House.
