The Selma For Students program ensures that students and low income young people have the opportunity to view this historic movie.
The Pittsburgh-area business community is collaborating with community organizations to reach a fundraising goal of $50,000 TO SEND 5,000 Pittsburgh area youths of Allegheny County and Westmoreland County from various programs, organizations, Middle and High School Students to view the film, “Selma,” a Best Picture-nominated film about the civil rights movement in the 1960s.

Fundraising efforts will continue until the end of March 2015. The movie started viewings in February and will continue until the end of March as needed.
We will also have 2 community conversations based on the movie and a Essay Writing Contest.
