Hi Everyone!
This summer I am hoping to travel to Norway through the WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) to assist an agricultural, Norwegian couple farm their vegetable garden and also build a segment of their log house. I also will have the opportunity to share my music through small music/arts events that my Norwegian host-family provides at their home throughout the summer.
My goal is to raise the necessary finances to get a round-trip plane ticket and cover the essentials of what I’ll need when I’m there (food, transportation, etc.).
As many of you may know, I love to travel and also love to spread my music. I will have the opportunity to do both AND try something new, which is living and participating in farm work daily for 4 weeks. Each and every contribution helps, and will do SO much for my experience.
80& of the funding I receive will contribute toward my plane ticket and the remaining 20% will help cover the essential expenses – food, in country transportation, farming gear & clothing, etc.
My unique perk for contributors who give $100+ will be an original piano composition I write especially for them! I am looking forward to doing this very much!!
If the goal is reached, excellent! If it is exceeded, even more excellent! The surplus will assist me with the other essentials I'll need while in the country.
The impact of this campaign is not only personal but it is also helping the world become more green and inhabitable for our future. Some of the benefits of organic farming are:
Air and climate change. Organic agriculture reduces non-renewable energy use by decreasing agrochemical needs
Sustainability over the long term: Organic agriculture considers the medium- and long-term effect of agricultural interventions on the agro-ecosystem. It aims to produce food while establishing an ecological balance to prevent soil fertility or pest problems
And a quote:
“The impact of organic agriculture on natural resources favors interactions within the agro-ecosystem that are vital for both agricultural production and nature conservation. Ecological services derived include soil forming and conditioning, soil stabilization, waste recycling, carbon sequestration, nutrients cycling, predation, pollination and habitats.”

Thank you all already! Please help me get the word out and share this with colleagues, friends, family…who ever!
Warmly,
Coleman
