Meet the Team
Sasha, Madi, Renna, Sara and Abrianna are a group of five National-level rhythmic gymnasts, competing in 2015 in both team and individual events at the National level for the very first time! We range in age from 12 to 14 years old, Our season has been very successful so far, with the team winning a silver medal at Elite Canada in March. As well, the three of us who also compete individually (Renna, Sasha and Madi) all qualified to compete at the National Championships by placing 1st, 4th and 6th at the Eastern Regional Competition! Please support our goal to represent the tri-cities at the Canadian National Championships in Vancouver, B.C. Knowing we have the community's support encourages us even more toward success!
What We Need & What You Get
Gymnastics at the National level is expensive! We do not receive any financial support from Government programs, which are limited to older, elite-level athletes who are just steps away from world-level competition. We'll get there one day, but in the meantime we're hoping to raise $300 per athlete to partially cover our airfare costs to Vancouver ($300/athlete X 5 team members=$1500). Even if you can only donate $5, $10 or $25, your donation is appreciated and will be pooled to help all 5 girls make it to Vancouver. As a token of our appreciation, we've designed a series of 'perks' that donors will receive (have a look on the right side of this page).
The Impact
Travelling to compete in National-level gymnastics events will leave a lifelong impression on these girls. They will see that hard work, dedication and perseverance eventually pays off with amazing opportunities and chances to compete at the highest level in Canada. We are asking friends, classmates, parents, grandparents, teachers and anyone else who cares about these girls to help out with this cause! We are the only Rhythmic Gymnastics Club in our community - please help support the sport in our Region!
