The Story of Flair
Flair Bartending is both a sport and an art and its history has never been fully documented. Shaken & Stirred will be the documentary that brings its roller-coaster history to life from the legendary bartenders who lived it, juggled it, and flipped it! We are interviewing the legends and competitive champions who defined the sport as tell their experiences, their achievements, and their opinions about its past and its future. We are also following three bartenders as they practice and prepare for the 2022 Flair Bartender Shakedown in West Palm Beach, Florida, a competition that separates the wannabes from the top of the profession.
4xEmmy Award-winning filmmaker, and flair champion herself, Deborah Richards, directs this documentary with the help of Emmy-nominated producer and documentarian, Patrick Wirtz. Two legends in Flair, Rob Husted and Dean Serneels, co-produce this feature film. Rob has over 30 years creating quality cocktails and flair competitions, founding BarWars LLC and Cocktails4-Hire. Dean also has over 30 years in bartending, inventing the flair bottle, the portable bar, the floating shaker tin, and founding Flairco Inc. Rob and Dean's videos have inspired many to join the profession and produce the broadcast Cocktail Network Live to promote the profession.
