Don’t you hate all the negativity on TV today? Doesn’t it seem like every show about weight loss, transformation, and healthy lifestyle is more set on shaming people than lifting them up? Wouldn’t it be great to see a show that was all about the positive journey and the little changes that you can make that will help you not just survive, but THRIVE!? A show that would make you laugh, and inspire you to be the best you, you can be? I want that too.
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Sandi Masori and I wear a lot of hats. I’m a mom, a full-time balloon artist, a best-selling author, a book strategist (that is I help other people write/ publish books), a TV personality, and a fluffy serial dieter. A couple of years ago, in the process of trying to heal from my divorce, I got a crazy idea: I wanted to produce a TV show about transformation where the focus was on the journey, not the end result. As John Lennon says, “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans”.
I noticed that all the weight loss shows out there are really about shaming people and making you feel bad. I didn’t want to do that. I wanted to do something light-hearted and uplifting. A show that would leave people with a smile on their face, and the desire to get out and do something.
Around the same time, I accidentally met with a big reality tv show producer and told him about my idea for a show. He loved the idea, but said that since I was an unknown, no one would back a show like that, because they didn’t know if I could carry the show as the talent. But, he said, since I already had a Youtube channel, I should go out and make my show, get 1,000,000 views on each episode, and then come back to him as that would be something that a network would find interesting.
Challenge Accepted! Said I!
So I got some friends to help, hired some other people, and we started shooting videos. Whenever I had a little extra money, I would put it into doing something for the show. For the past 2 years, I’ve been going out of pocket, robbing Peter to pay Paul, so I could keep moving forward with my dream. Basically I jumped in head first with no idea of what I was doing, or what it would take.
So that pretty much brings us to today…
Right now, I have 20 of the first 30 episodes taped, and nothing edited. Editing is expensive and time consuming. It’s not just editing that I need, it’s also production. Who knew that there was so much to know and plan to make a TV show?? I need help, professional help. So, that’s why I’m here.
The money you contribute will go to production costs for the last few episodes, post- production costs to get everything edited, and marketing to get the eyeballs.
I have a few dreams for this show- to get it to TV and to put some quality feel-good broadcasting out there that will lift people up, and help them get out of their own way. The message that I want to get across is “you’re perfect the way you are, but if you’re not happy, or in a rut, try something new, because along the way, when you’re moving out of your comfort zone, life happens!”
This show is everything to me. There is so much junk tv out there, and every time you turn on the news, it’s all bad things. I want to show that life is good, and that there’s no reason not to enjoy yourself while on the way to a healthy lifestyle.
Even if you can’t donate money, you can still help support the cause. Share this fundraiser, when the show debuts on September 18th on the Sandiballoon Youtube channel, watch it, share it, like it and comment on it. There will be a new episode out every Tuesday after that.
And if you can donate money, a little or a lot, I really appreciate it, and your faith in me and my ability to make this come to life. From the bottom of my heart to the tip of my soul, I thank you for helping me make my dream a reality.
Love and Affection,
Sandi
