Short Summary
Coming June 5 - June 7, 2015 is the first
annual Shasta Yoga Fest in Mount Shasta, California. Produced by the Shasta
Yoga Institute and Shasta Yoga Fest founder Amy Cooper, this campaign to raise awareness and funds is
motivated by a passion to increase economic vibrancy and cultural diversity to our local
community as well as to unite yogis and those interested in the yogic and
expressive arts, to come to Mount Shasta for an integrated, expansive learning
experience.
Through its annual festival, the Shasta Yoga
Fest will bridge communities and join together devotional artists, yoga
teachers, audiences and scholars from around the nation to share meaningful experiences,
engage conversations, open personal boundaries and enjoy the pure beauty of
Mount Shasta through artistic and spiritual discovery and renewal.
Nationally known artists, musicians, and yoga
instructors will be participating from Los Angeles, San Fransisco Bay Area, Arcata up to Seattle, as well as from Pennsylvania and Chicago; all bringing their honed skills and passions to this weekend
event.
This festival will also promote opportunities for less-known teachers and artists to be exposed to a larger audience and receive recognition and support for their potential.

Our Campaign
This campaign is important because the
financial support will help us with our initial start up costs and set a solid
operating foundation for an annual event.
We came up with the idea with only two
and a half months to plan, market and implement before the festival start
date; therefore ticket sales are just beginning.
Thus far, we have sponsors within our local
community from our participating venues: the Shasta Yoga Institute, BerryVale
Natural Grocery, Shasta Base Camp and Mount Shasta Quantum Healing Center.
Contributions will assure that our
first year start up expenses will be covered. This will enable us to build upon
a sound base and plan for future years with more experience and time behind us.
A Yoga festival provides a place to immerse oneself
in body, mind and heart, and relax and rejuvenate, devote, connect and expand,
have fun and just be. It is an important reminder that we are not islands unto
ourselves. Connecting with like-minded people serves a human need that is
within us all. The more people practicing yoga, the better off this planet will
be!
What We Need
100% of this years proceeds will go directly to operating and
