What is "Shiva" About?
It's a dark comedy short film about adult children wanting to make the last few moments of their mother’s time on earth special, yet they can’t seem to agree…. at all.
Based on true events!
The short is inspired by events that our Director, Morgan Davidoff, experienced in her real life. Not going into too much detail (as it would spoil the film!), people react very differently when they are experiencing grief. She was in an event where family members were disagreeing about how they wanted to handle the next steps in a difficult time, and of course life has a way of making light out of a dark situation.
Our Goal
We are looking to raise $3500 so that we can bring this story to life in the most professional and ethical way possible. We want to treat people with as much care as possible while paying our crew for their time, equipment and food. Here is a breakdown of what is going where:
Cast and Crew Labour: $2000
Technical/Art Department Expenses/Wardrobe: $500
Making sure everyone is fed: $300
Post Production: $700
Set and Location: Has Been Donated!
TOTAL: $3500
If we are unable to raise the full amount, priority will be given to paying the Cast, Crew, and Locations, followed by Post Production, and then lastly Distribution expenses.
