The future
of Social Media recruiting is here and now
Signal™ is a SaaS, web-based talent relationship management (a.k.a. TRM) application that monitors changes in online behavior of people who you want to follow, and provides you with relevant real-time information about which people are seeking employment on a scale ranging from passive to active.
Our technology serves two main
purposes:
- Alert recruiters when it becomes an ideal time to contact prospects
about potential employment opportunities
- Inform HR about current employees who are actively or passively
seeking new opportunities outside their company
We have already secured more
than $1M USD in capital, and now we are in the process of raising our official
Series “A” round. However, we don’t want
our momentum to slow down. We are looking to our clients and partners to
support us while we’re raising our next round of capital, and by supporting us
now you will have special privileges.

What you can expect from our technology after you sign up:
The already
good:
1. Your talent database will
be up to date all the time
Signal is tracking all online
behavior patterns of the people you are interested in, and will continuously
and automatically update their records in your database.
2. Signal will notify you so
you don't have to waste time dealing with social “noise”
While people have a tremendous
amount of online social media activity, Signal focuses specially on their
behaviors that are most relevant for the purposes of recruitment and talent
management. As a result, you don’t have
to sift through all the noise of social media recruitment to get at the most
relevant information. Signal does this
automatically for you, for as long as you are interested in tracking the
person’s activities.
3. One click adding
Easily upload your existing candidate
or employee database into Signal, or you can add new profiles simply by using the
bookmark feature. Signal also allows you
to segment your talent communities for more intuitive interaction or to provide
specialized reporting. For example, you
can create unique talent pools or puddles for current employees, prospective candidates,
company followers, people who clicked on the job advertisement link, or a
limitless number of other logical or deliberate profile segments.
4. Already compatible with many
social media sources, many more are coming
Currently, you can track, add,
and combine profiles from LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Xing, Facebook*, and
About.me. Signal will yield better
results as you add more social profiles you want to track for each individual.
We are constantly adding new social networks to our supported list; currently
we are working on Viadeo and Foursquare.
5. Engage your colleagues to
help you grow your talent communities
Signal offers functionality
that will enable your friends, colleagues, or employees to track people’s
profiles, and based on their respective user rights or segmentation, you can
route their tracked referrals to unique talent pools. You can even gamify the talent community
building process or create a competition within your existing organization for
who can refer and track the most number of relevant profiles.
The (not yet so) good:
We are in the process of
finalizing Signal’s built-in profile assessment and sourcing functionality. These
upcoming features will enable recruiters to turn on automatic candidate sourcing
based on predefined competency criteria or even on the basis of personality features.
Just imagine the future, the most time-consuming and costly tasks of candidate
identification and sourcing will be automated by Signal so recruiters and HR
managers can focus their efforts on more strategic activities.
Recognitions, awards, press
Signal has already gained lots of attention from HR and Recruitment technology industry experts by being nominated for several awards:

How the funding will be used
Currently Signal is in beta,
but with your additional funding we will be able to continue developing:
- A redesigned user experience, which is the interface to the core Signal
engine
- Connect Signal to more data sources to help you cast the widest net of
information about the people you want to follow
- Finalize building assessment and automatic sourcing into Signal so
that you will be automatically alerted about ideal candidates and the
ideal time to contact them
The story about how Signal™ was conceived
The idea for Signal™ was
birthed in 2012 as an outcome of the #tru event “hackathon.” During this
(un)conference style event, Recruiters and HR industry leaders were given an
opportunity to think outside the box and suggest a tool that might make
recruitment and talent management more effective or more efficient, or both.
Their idea was presented to the track participants but only Joberate took on
the challenge of creating a prototype. The talented team of Joberate
engineers worked around the clock to build a working prototype version of what
is today Signal, and presented the core functionality on the next day to the
event participants. The core of the Signal engine, and its functionality
received numerous accolades so Joberate decided to invest significant resources
to continue developing Signal into a commercially viable product.
