How would you make it?
I was in a play called Mosaic in Mesa, AZ, and I met an amazing woman. Her name was Michela. While backstage, she told me all about her group of friends. They were all divorced and they made a habit of hanging out; they went to clubs, they went to lunch, they kept each other company. Their stories have inspired me. I've been married for 6 months and I don't even know what it means to be married yet, much less to be single again after. I decided that I wanted to explore what it means. How do you get through it? Where is your hope?
Everyone is looking for that one thing to pull them through difficulty. A relative dies, you lose your job, and what is there? Where do you place your hope? What is it that makes human beings so able to overcome adversity and trial. In exploring the aftermath of a specific difficulty--divorce--maybe we can find out.
There are divorced men and women everywhere and each one has a different story. We need to talk to them. We need to fly east and west, north and south and find out everyone's story no matter where they're located. Equipment shouldn't be a problem, we have most of the equipment we'll need already seeing as we mostly just need to interview people.
